Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun - Does the anime focus on romance and does it have a good conclusion ?

Just finished Tasogare Otome x Amnesia (Dusk Maiden of Amnesia) and loved it, and planning to watch this based on recommendations.
I want anime to focus on romance, not to put all focus on mystery and supernatural stuff (Like The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and thats why it disapointed me), and have a good conclusion, instead of leaving the romance part hanging.

Please tell if this focus enough on romance, and if it has a good conclusion .

95% animes lower that 7.00 on MAL are trash.

I haven't seen the spinoff so I can't speak for that, but the first season doesn't really conclude a storyline that well. The second season hasn't come out yet, but it's on MAL so I assume it's confirmed.

Romance isn't a major focus. The two most popular ships I've seen referenced in the community (which I'm admittedly not really a part of, despite having seen the show) seem to both ship a ghost with a human, so there's a limit to the extent of any romance possible (I think the two humans are good together, so maybe I'm just biased).

Romantic subtext? Maybe, to an extent. Certain characters have good chemistry. But it's not a romance show, so I wouldn't go into it expecting that.

The anime has like a sub plot of romance but its not really there much, most of the plot being the mystery.

second season has been confirmed for January to continue on with the manga. (a chara I liked had his stuff revealed in the manga before the tree part of the anime and we are finally getting his development in s2.)

That being said, I believe the manga I still ongoing so I don't think we will have a big conclusion here too. but at least for season one they also left it in a way that isn't a cliffhanger since we weren't for sure we were getting s2 at the time.

There is definitely a romance element in the manga and while it is pretty important to the story, it’s a slow burn and not the explicit focus. As mentioned it’s still ongoing but the series gets a lot darker so if you’re expecting it to be feel good the whole time (which it is for the first season and after school), I wouldn’t count on it. That being said, the manga is one of my favorites and I would definitely recommend but totally valid if you’re just looking for a good romance.

Romance is a subplot while the action stuff is main story.
