Eh, kinda dull chapter. The pages were also messed up on the Jump+ app, so that’s fun. Feels like this is ending already, I wouldn’t be surprised if it joined the U19 club.

This is planned to be a short manga from the start. I read somewhere that it will only be 3-volume long.

Makes sense, it’s definitely feeling like it won’t run for long.

@GoCrayzee

Not necessarily "3-volume long". First volume is called "Top", so second volume can be called "Middle" or "Back", which can be equivalent of 2nd and/or 3rd volume.
Considering "the pace", most likely it will be 2 volume long.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.113/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.205/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.119/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.22/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.86/? - biweekly)
- Monochrome Days (Ch.15/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

Why would Jump even serialize a manga that’s only intended to be 2-3 volumes from the start? Isn’t it their main goal to create well performing long running series? What could they possibly gain from such a short series by an unknown author?

I dunno, but I would guess some authors aren't comfortable writing long running series, eg. Taizan 5's Takopii (2-vol/16ch.) is much more popular than Ichinose Family (which was axed after 6 volumes). Also maybe to "train" and keep young artist in case they will make something really popular?
And overall I think there is less risk and help with "series circulation" on their app jump+ if they know when some series will end... like WSJ has only long running series (or axes) which "force them" to decide which series will end prematurely every ~10 weeks, which could negatively affect the story and their relations with author.
