Yhwach absorbed all of Soul King after Ichigo fruit-ninja'd his corpse. It happened at the end of ep:05 and we got Seireitei's pov at the midway of ep:06, when Shunsui claimed to himself that he won't let Ukitake's death be in vain, camera shifted to Ukitake still gushing out Mimihagi, meaning SK isn't all dead yet(since it's his Right Hand) and the major plot-hole was that at the climax battle

I'm discussing this here cuz this pic might be a foreshadowing/Easter egg & it aired in this cour. So don't come at my ass for not discussing in Manga section

IIRC, he didn't see it because he has been under Aizen's illusion since the time he visited him in the first invasion (similar to what happened to about every single Captain except Yamamoto iirc). Much like with them, Aizen made it as sneaky as possible with his ability, only selectively changing their perspective in a way they don't even are aware of until it's too late (basically Fake Karakura moment 2.0, except this time he is on their side). Both the anime and the manga foreshadow this by the amount of time he spent in there being vastly different from what Yhwach planned for that particular visit, while Yamamoto fought a buffed Quincy letter (which is also another foreshadowing to his ability of just freely manipulating and giving part of his powers to his army at will, since it all ultimately returns to him upon their deaths).

Yhwach first invasion was 1000 years ago. Was Aizen already alive back then?

during the first invasion, Yhwach realised Aizen put him under KS, so he's aware. Even during their fight, Aizen tricked him into thinking he's Ichigo to Yhwach. Yhwach realised KS has been deactivated. So I don't think it's similar to Fake Karakura incident

@Dan_ALves I mean the first invasion of the arc, clearly. Have you missed when I said he was talking with Aizen WHILE Yamamoto was fighting with his Quincy underling?

@kingsley_017 About that, there's also the fact that the Antithesis is just as much of a natural counter to the Almighty as Hogyoku Aizen ever-evolving nature (reason why Yhwach couldn't Almighty his way out of it).

The Arrow was imbued with Antithesis. As rushed as that ending may be, connecting the dots, Almighty just couldn't do a thing about Uryu (Haschwalth comments that Uryu may have the one power that can oppose the King) and his magical arrow of doom, even if it was to have seen the future about it.

Uryu seems to be naturally blessed with some sort of immunity to his power, and of course, Yhwach made sure to get him under his wing, and with part of his blood in his body just in case he needed to see what Uryu could do. It's slightly implied that Yhwach could not see Uryu's future with the Almighty.

Yhwach seem to trust Haschwalth WARNING HIM about Uryu's shadiness, Yhwach let be for the time being, if memory doesn't fail me. Uryu seems to be pretty much one of the few beings Yhwach's Almighty can't predict.

Survivor of the ultimate Auswählen right there.

@Danpmss I clearly missed that part. Yeah, I remember that. But everything that has been happening in TYBW so far, I just count it as one invasion. So when you mentioned the first invasion, I thought you meant the one 1000 years ago.
Also, i thought Aizen needed his sword to hipnotize others. He doesn´t have his sword with him when he´s sealed, right?

I'm not sure there's any meaning in speculating. There are so many changes and updates to the story I'm pretty sure the ending's going to make perfect sense when it airs.

@Dan_ALves
The Quincy invaded two times during this arc, once at the start (killed Yamamoto), and the second when they quite literally warped the entirety of the Soul Society into the Wandenreich (hidden in the shadow of Soul Society).

As for Kyouka Suigetsu, go a few hundred chapters back, Aizen fused himself with his sword after reaching a certain point of mutation while using the Hogyoku.

@Danpmss I guess by that logic it really is two invasions. For me, there was the invasion from season 1 and everything that has happened since is all part of that invasion.

Oh shit, so Aizen really only needs himself? Damn, someone´s cooked.

@Dan_ALves It's a buff and a nerf on Aizen at the same time. Remember KS's weakness? Now it's easier to dispell KS because his whole body is KS.
