Currently, I'm really enjoying Ranma 1/2 remake (I'm planning to stick with remake for this one as long as I enjoy the remake) and this show seems to be as tasteful as Ramna. So I'm planning to give it a watch. So I wanna know which is more preferable, remake or classic?

Remake, for the same reasons as Ranma. Better animation, better pacing. If you really likenit you can always go back and watch the OG later.

Both rule! But I agree with the first comment. Watch the remake to get a feel for it and if you love it go back and watch the entire original

This is WAY better than the Ranma remake production wise.

The original is better for 21 episodes and then becomes worse.

The first half of the classic series is worth watching. It is directed by Mamoru Oshii. The new version is sort of painful to sit through. I dropped it in season 2.

The remake is just easier to recommend to those new to the series. However, there are certain key episodes that the remake covered that I feel were just better done in the original. Like the “Since your Parting” or the Inaba “Open the Door” episode.

The classic is obviously a lot better than the remake. The classic is so much more soulful and has a great or better comedic timing than the remake. Its soundtracks are just unmatched. The remake serves as a good intro to the series. But if you want to get the feel of the true 80's experience then classic is the way to go and better yet read the manga for authentic experience.

Remake imo. I like most of the character designs and artsyle in the remake more. Although I would highly recommend checking out the second of the old movies, "Beautiful Dreamer" for an extra 80s experience.

The original Inaba the Dreammaker OVA is peak Urusei Yatsura for me. I love the UY reboot overall, but something Inaba said to Shinobu in the old OVA stuck with me and I thought was really sweet. It was completely left out of the remake.

Original hands down, way funnier than the remake for me.

The new Lum design is gorgeous but that is it, the remake can barely make laugh compared to the first adaptation.
