Sooo, afer todays Episode I didnt want to wait and just decided to start reading. When I was reading the Witch Cults demands, that are like 30 seconds in the anime, ive read like 4-5 pages. So im asking if theres a lot of content cut or if this adaption is good as of now. I was unsure about season 2 too because a lot of plot happened but this season im sceptical about the adaptation content wise

ehhh, some cuts here and there, i mean the main stuff is there, but some characterization and info or character actions are cut out. in this episode 6, subaru was supposed to have performed first aid on a civilian who was attacked by a demi beast nearby him,Priscilla and lilliana and then took him to the shelter they went to, it was also said that the flood actually helped them shift the tide of battle there, i guess they were losing the fight at the city hall. my guess is that was als doing as capella said she never did that. also that julius, felix and the others at the city hall were under wraths authority and acting emotionally and indecisive and subaru calmed them down, also heard subaru did some parkour as the witch beast was chasing him and that there were 3 and not 1 in the novel.

As you can see, it is mainly just characterization and a few actions that were cut, it would be nice to have had them but it is what it is, the plot itself is fine, i also heard tappei, re:zero author is long winded with the way he writes, the anime probably gets the message across but the novel is more detailed to help you understand the message and the person giving it as further monolougue, naration and novel stuff are used

Season 3 is pretty good so far in terms of adaptation. I'm not gonna say great because there are minor cuts that wouldve made certain episodes better if there was more time. Definitely better than the second half of season 1 and all of season 2 in terms of not cutting major things out. Tbf this section of season 3 (eps 1-16) should be better in the anime than in the novels if we get amazing action scenes. Its the second portion of season 3 (17-38) im worried about because of how the anime treated the content of season 2

All light novel adaptations have a lot of cut content, because they are very different media. No one would like 1 whole episode where nothing happens, and just look at the reviews are the third season of Tensura.

But answering your question, it's being a very good adaptation, every Re: Zero has an excellent adaptation, but if you want a complete experience, read the light novel starting from volume 1.

the speech is next episode so next week Wednesday, then one more episode that will probably end on a cliff hanger then we wait 2.5 months for the continuation, honestly quite sad about that as the hype might die down like in season 2 part 2

They sure cut many things, from minor changes to some important plot shifting into a side story, but that is how most of the LN adaptations are. We can't expect everything to be adapted.

This basically sums it up. Light Novels are generally much harder to nail an adaptation for than traditional manga because they are inherently different forms of media. Re Zero lives and dies on internal monologue, lore, and really putting you into Subaru's mind. Unfortunately, an anime adaptation affects all of those very heavily, along with pacing issues and inevitable cut content. The only way to truly get the full experience of Re Zero is the novels. Same with MT. The only S tier light novel adaptation I've seen is 86 because its a pretty straightforward story for a novel series
