been noticing many people who don't understand whats happening or completely glossing over the series as nonsense due to discrimination of the artist which isn't even the author?

like how is this hard to understand? i've seen people complaining on imageboards or not understanding this series like what is there to understand?


this is literally a deconstruction of Haruhi Suzumiya, with god being portrayed as a high school girl who unknowingly effects the world. and this whole series is cloaking its message of romance and love behind concepts of direct fusion and sci fi battles.

maybe it's due to the translations? i don't know where you read this manga, but the quality of available english fan tls online... varies.

as of writing this, i have currently just finished chapter 15. highly enioyable read! i understand it just fine.

but the tls... chapter 15, especially was a chore to read. the typesetting was hideous, the dialogue had lots of liberties taken with it, the fact a very important reveal happens is just icing on the cake.

@Maximum_Carnage this has actually been fully translated years ago, its hard to find it legit because it has never been sold officially in English and there is literally no way to get this legally out side of japan in fact even in japan its mostly sold out, however you can literally just google the chapters and you will find it

@Maximum_Carnage not sure what translation you are reading, but the one I've read seems to be pretty decent, they even included gintama style excerpts at the bottom for more context sometimes.

I always consider gintama's english scanlation to be the peak because of how good it is, however there are multiple scanlationgroups that did it, and the official translations are actually worse than the fan translations. so I get it.

another thing is, this manga is very abstract, alot of the things are not explicitly said but needs to be inferred from, I actually benefited alot from rereading some chapters then realizing things after, the world building is actually very complex and the power system actually makes alot of sense but they explain it fragmentedly chapter by chapter so if you speed read you will miss alot of it or forget.

in fact my opening statement that this was literally a deconstruction of Haruhi Suzumiya is a spoiler in itself, however if you actually don't read properly you wouldn't even notice it, that the protagonists basically gods and that the world they are in is just a temporary construct. its also one of the reasons why the physics and things aren't consistent across the chapter(like how sometimes mushrooms and plants randomly appear they imagines it etc) since they often jump through worldlines without notifying the reader.)
