I just finished reading the 49th chapter, and I'm really bothered by the message it tried to send. The relationship between Seto-sensei and Daisuke was introduced, I think, 3 chapters earlier?? Perhaps more than that, but it's only properly addressed in this one. After Daisuke's mom comes to confront the staff about the taboo relation between her son and his teacher, the staff decides to FINALLY do a meeting (despite knowing for awhile already about it) regarding that subject.

Now here's the issue: the higher ups decide to fire her, which quite frankly relieved me but then Imabari steps in and while acknowledging the scandalous nature of the said relationship she proceeds to say that in their case it's not the same ?? and apparently Seto-sensei should not get fired?? What on earth is this insane take. How could she, hell how could the author themselve think that it's a valid statement to make ? Especially coming from the protagonist that is supposed to serve justice.

To top it off, the chapter ends with Daisuke going to his teacher's apartment to visit her but when he enters he sees that she already packed and left the city - then the scene changes to Seto-sensei reading his texts and lamenting over how she'll forever miss him. It's hard to see this scene as a mere exposition to her inner feelings, it straight up feels like the author tried to make us feel sympathy for a whole ass pedophilic teacher. Which is again, insane to me because throughout all the taboos that were presented so far to us, they were always meant to come across as disgusting and to be looked down upon. Yet for this one, it's almost like the author wants us to feel their pain. To what I respond with hell nah - the dude is 16 while shes pushing 30s. I truly do not understand why the author decided to portray it under this light.
