| I have a lot of thoughts. First of all, love the song and it was an immediate hook, line and sinker from the trailer. The first 26 seconds of the visuals are so fitting and gorgeous. There are so many lil details to nerd out on. The rurouni hat floating away while touching the blunt side of the Sakabato and we see Kyoto. While Kenshin walks in the middle with the shadow of his past self falling towards the blade; confused and conflicted between two sides of his blade, Kaoru firmly walks the blunt side from start to finish. The reflection of Kenshin walking towards Kyoto is that of his hitokiri past and being torn between what he wishes to do and what is expected of him fits the lyrics well. While they music only builds up and get's better, I feel the storyboarding could have been a bit in tuned for this for that extra oomph and high energy of Kitani and Natori. That aside, I do love a few choices here. The past Kyoto fight animation is absolutely gorgeous and makes a good juxtaposition of how the Kenshin of today fights. The wind blowing the leaves to present and Kenshin choosing the blunt side of the Sakabato, his opponents who should be cut and dead, are not. That notion is only reaffirmed by another shot of Kaoru and the Sakabato being a controlled waterfall. |

| Since Seta appeared last season already, all of Shishio's Juppongatana but him are silhouettes. I wonder if the OP will update as more members fight Kenshin in the series. |
