I've seen pretty much everywhere people complaining about the endless meetings of this season, and while I surely won't say that they're wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and can like or dislike anything with due reason.

With that said, I really fucking enjoyed this season as well as its pacing. I found pretty much all the meetings interesting and they served pretty well to expand the world and its characters. I like Tensura in most part due to the worldbuilding and the city management parts, and in this season both of those things were great. All the discussions with other important characters and other nations, showing their relations and how the infrastructure of the world is changing little by little due to Tempest and its advancements in technology was pretty great. Sure, Tensura isn't like anything really deep and kinda shallow if you want something like REALLY realistically political, but I don't think that's what the show proposes to do anyway. It's more like a fun ride for people who like worldbuilding and power fantasies and I wouldn't want it any different.

Totally unrelated tangent now:
One of my favorite times in DnD was when my party founded a city and we spent a lot of time expanding it and making relationships with other cities/kingdoms, it was way too fun. So this Tensura season at least made me and my friends very happy lol.

I feel the same way. The meetings were peak. This has been by far my favourite season, and I'm thinking of actually reading the LN

I think it's mostly about expectations. Season1 got really hyped while and after it aired and season2 was also very hyped, both having much action, fighting and "heroic" shonen stuff. If you have 46 episodes like that and then bring in 24ep that are basically only politics, SoL and living the slow life, because the whole third season is the time span of 1-2 weeks at most, then I very well understand if people are disappointed.

That's why I tell everyone "if you watch this anime, remember that you'll have 2 seasons action and 1 season talk and chill". It's much easier like that. And in the context of that world, it kinda makes sense to be mostly talking by now. Because right now, though Rimuru somehow has no clue about that, Tempest is kinda the strongest country besides certain special cases (trying without spoilers), so it wouldn't make much sense to just keep that powercreep up for no reason when no other country has either the means or the reasons to fight them. Let's not forget that Demon Lords are sort of the highest "authoritiy" in this world and they aren't just some bulk of muscles over brains.

That being said (small "spoilers" ahead), Tempest and the other countries need some plot set up for the future to come, because as we already know there is a certain mastermind (or maybe two?) and the foreshadowing of "angels who destroy andvanced nations" or whatever those might be will probably not only be fought by a few Oni, if even Lubelius is "afraid" of them.

I think all in all the season is within reasonable pacing, though I would have also loved to have some better fights, especially against Hinata. The fight felt like a side-note while the whole first half prepared that one.

In my opinion, it is not about having the meetings, but the way they were presented to the audience.
Tensura did it in a boring way. So boring that i hardly remember anything from those meetings.

Yeah, those kinds of things are what's important to properly flesh out the world building, skipping it is just insane. lol
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

(I don't speak English so maybe there are spelling mistakes, sorry) This season there were more meetings and politics, and since the previous season ended on a high, some had high expectations of what was going to happen and found that it was more talk than action. In my opinion, I really liked this season, since we saw how Rimuru's kingdom progresses and the diplomacies he did with the human kingdom. What a shame that many do not appreciate this development and want to see meaningless fights.
PS: I am looking forward to its fourth season.
Tensura GOD.

I'm with you in this one.
I know the meetings seems dense and all but because of it gave me a reason to really dive in the tensura universe and search a lot of background stuff that I initially didn't care about (i think Moonlit Fantasy tried to do the same thing but not as well interesting as this season in slime)

This season really served its purpose to expand all the info about the universe to prepare the anime only watchers for next battles (witch they all will be intense, trust me) but i get if u wait every Friday for some slime action its reasonable all the frustration

Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole season and I'm waiting, with finger crossed, to next one to be released asap.

I also liked the meetings. This season did its job at fleshing out the story, building up the world for the next events to unfold and give us some much needed context for what's to come. And there was a lot of it. Not many titles are as complex with politics and economy as the Slime series so it only makes sense.

I'm looking forward for the next season and as an anime only, I hope it will show us some much needed usage of the world that S3 has painstakingly build for us.

I also liked meetings. Thing is, i also like chilli Peppers but if i ate too much of it i get sick.
Moderation is the key.
And i dont mind lack of action, but some, let say "side quest" story (exploration) during festival arc would be nice. Never read LN ( not available in my country) but pretty shure it has enough material for something like that or anime only material like mountain tunel with Benni,Momiji&Albis, just to change the tone a little bit.

The meeting was actually good for me. Watching it without being sleepy is prove to myself that it's attractive and not boring, I feel every meeting has it's value to the story. But i agree that how they deliver it sometimes feel a bit plain, if they can deliver it a bit more intense it will make some meeting scene become more impactful to more audience.

Since the first season i never take this anime as action anime, by seeing rimuru built the town from zero with goblin i feel like this anime is more about building a nation. All the action for me was just a spice to make it more intense.

Ofcourse all of the above is just my opinions.
