I know it's selfish, but I understand Hananoi's feelings here. The guy is going through one of the most difficult moments of his life, he's feeling really bad, he wants to be comforted and vent about it, but his girlfriend is prioritizing someone else. It's the same as his parents' attitude, it's something admirable and I would never ask them to stop helping others, but there's a hurt deep down at not being chosen. He still apologizes because there's no way for her to know what he's going through, but she knows it's something important. She helped the kids and Yao, but at the same time it wasn't such a cool thing to do (?). Right and wrong here is not so black and white.

Aaaaah, that's what I love most about this manga. The characters are not perfect, things are not simple, it makes you think and reflect. I love the perfect boyfriend type more, of course, but it's refreshing to see an ML that isn't perfect
