History's strongest disciple kenichi

So I tried to find if there was a common denominator between the 2 but I can't. The quick little music and screen in the middle of episodes is just like kenichi, also the concept is very similar. Anybody else notice?

no I didn't, and I can't remember the music either 😭😭. must be because I completed the anime within a week.

I mean the Zero to Hero trope isn't exactly uncommon when it comes to series pertaining to martial arts or combat. But Kenichi was more about the journey, as in his training while Shinmai Ossan is all after his training is complete and they have another task driving the story. Kenishi honestly has more in common with The Breaker, Girls of the Wild's, Training Regimes of the World's Strongest Women and surprisingly Mission Yozakura Family while Shinmai Ossan has more in common with Dragons Rioting, One Punch Man, Mashle and TsukiMichi.

I just think there was some inspiration from kenichi in this show.

@Balince The point of my post was really saying Kenichi's formula isn't special or uncommon so the author could just have easily not read Kenichi at all and still came up with the same idea from another source.

If you're talking the intermission scenes then those have even more similarity to One Punch Man with the guitar riff and the infopages are such a common trope that Wistoria is also using them in the exact same way, in the same airing season.

Kenichi shows the training because the training is the entire plot. Which is why I drew the comparison to similar series with my post. To emphasize the point that the similarity between Kenichi and Shinmai Ossan is minimal at best.

I don't think there was any inspiration taken from Kenichi, you'd have to ask Kiraku Kishima to know for certain.
