I feel like this series has the vibe of something classic, maybe a video game.

Anyone know what media this anime feels like? Is it just a ghibli vibe (it could fit, but isn't strong enough)?

I'm especially referring to three things:
1. The animation style
2. Mutsumi's character design
3. Summer

I don't have much experience with anime with this kinda chill vibe. I think it's very unique in its style and presentation. It's like nothing I've ever seen before.

I’d be tempted to call it an iyashikei, but it has way more dramatic (and melodramatic) moments than comforting ones, and even during “quiet” times there’s this underlying feeling of unease that takes away from the peacefulness… but maybe that’s just me, as i tend to always be waiting for the proverbial “other shoe” to drop when watching anime like this 😅
