I feel mixed on the visuals so far. You have really good people in there like Akane Fushihara as the director of photography, but this looks quite bland compared to what she can usually do.

So much for “Prime Madhouse Comback” (I never believed that) looks so bland when compared to many other recent dramas with pretty much no action (Vinland, Pluto, Apothecary Diaries and etc)

I really don't understand what this guys above me is soo upset about. This looks really good compared to other run of the mill seasonal anime. The art style reminds me of Vinland Saga and the animation is also decent. Moreover we got some big name who is working in this anime. Definitely one of my most anticipated anime of Fall 2024. I might not watch it weekly though.

New anime trailer without animation complaints - challenge impossible.

I don't really get it either. I've read the first chapters of the manga, and there isn't much space for potential movement, so it's obvious we won't see advanced animated sequences. Especially in the trailer, which never presents the best parts of the show. They expect Vinland Saga-level quality, but the thing is that in the ENTIRE Orb there are maybe 2 fights. That's the difference. I've seen some mfs claim after just 2 episodes that an anime is bad and a mess, but it later turned out to be favorite anime of the season for many people – that should say everything about those pretentious whiners above who don't deserve anything. The staff seems experienced enough, so we'll see in a month how good/bad it actually is.

On the other hand, the quality could definitely be better (as always). Madhouse seems like an overrated mid-tier studio. They can only make one great anime every 4–5 years.

But hey, at least if two cours are confirmed, they will for sure adapt the whole manga, unlike Frieren. 😂

Sorry that copy paste Isekai isn’t my standard cause that’s the only way this show looks “better than most” is if you compare it to fucking My Life as a Toaster in Another World by MommyFish Studio (5 animators who live off instant ramen and 200 yen per hour)

@OvergrownRover You are overacting way too much. It will be waste of my time arguing with someone like you. I will just wait for the anime to come out before engaging myself with any arguments.

Staff members surely is a promising start even though some of those shots in the PV look straight from a mid2000s random anime.

Seeing the characters introduced I'd assume this will adapt almost five volumes, and in those ones fight scenes are scarce. It wont need sakuga moments, but an overall great direction and art.

I'll never understand the argument that just because there's barely any fighting, it means animation doesn't matter as much. Animation applies to anything, and you can very well make an extremely well produced anime just with character acting animation alone. Look at Yama no Susume as a prime example.

Granted, I personally don't think this looks outright terrible or anything, but I understand their reaction.

@Oongbuh The thing is, this story is mostly focused on verbal debates. At best, they can make walking scenes or writing text in books more fluid, but that's about it. As someone mentioned earlier (and I agree), the direction will be the most important factor in the anime's success. I won't criticize the art because it's clear they decided to recreate it faithfully from the manga. It could be different (maybe better?), but at least the art makes it stand out.

It's fine if not everyone likes the trailer, but comparing it to the usual low-quality isekai is an unfunny joke. The story alone clears most of them. Some people desperately need to leave their basements and touch grass. A little sunlight would do them good. Some are far too frustrated over just the animation quality. Unless, I don't know, they're Poles who don't want to see an underwhelming adaptation set in their country.

I really like the synopsis of the show so I'm really hoping this turns out to be good. If I'm being honest, the first half of the PV looked pretty bland but the later half pulled me back in; I'll definitely keep an eye out on this. I do wonder why the first half looks so uninteresting, id it because of the direction, lack of fluidity in the animation, the color choices or something else? I'll just hope that those scenes feel a lot better when given proper context.

@Adizcool maybe because some episodes are outsourced
