@aburame_ernesto I'm gonna be honest, what I said was pretty concise, if that was too hard for you to read, then I don't think you're capable of actually holding a nuanced discussion. I have said everything I needed to and made my point more than clear, if you are too lazy to read the things, than there is absolutely no point in trying to convince you. This discussion allowed me to phrase my opinion in detail, and because of that, I see this as an opportunity I used for self-reflection, even if I wasn't able to make you understand what I was saying, I am still thankful that I got to think about these things and articulate my views. I suggest you start reading more, being able to engage in more complex discussions is a useful skill that allows you to learn in an entertaining way. Have a good one.

| @henwens no body uses anilist, im talking about rankings like from bilibili nga or other lists, stuff like crunchyroll, animeplanet, mangaupdates, 4chan's /a/ board, mangadex , sankaku complex, kotaku, anime news network, manga updates etc, reddit etc. btw im not sure what you even mean by "fansite" is it talking about sites that talks about anime? Also it seems you guys have weird definitions on what counts as a fan site, is it recording a list of what you've watched? because by that definition. you would have to count kissmanga(when it was around) aniwave(9anime and now shutdown), places like mangakakalot and mangadex likely one of the most popular etc. all of these sites mentioned literally have options to add anime or manga to your "list" and also give them a rating, and some sites even have options to write reviews etc, so by the same logic why are you not counting them as anime fan sites? is it because some of them host anime? or manga? by that logic myanimelist is also disqualified since they also host and publish manga on this site too. I know people personally who keep their entire anime list on sites like mangadex for example, and its much more convenient since you get real time updates to chapters. also discussions get replies almost instantly unlike mal which any series other than top 10 shounen or isekai gets no responses for years, something that doesn't do this site favors when it tries to argue that there are 4 mill users without bots (lol). at this point i only come to mal once in a while to check out discussions, but even then most of the discussions are mostly empty of comments and people apparently only use this to track their anime, but do that when i can track my anime or manga directly on other sites? and make discussions on imageboards or more popular fansites? |
