the animation the cgi is garbage, the characters are annoying, the war strategies are so ridiculous,
a noisy annoying protagonist brat who never been in a war fighting with 3 meter generals and still survives.
the movements of characters fighting stupidly animated.

everything is trash, just tell me one thing this anime is good in?

The Kingdom Fandom actively and frequently speak out about their hatred for the anime and how its a failed adaptation of fantastic source material.

Your question is a bit pointless because noone actually thinks the anime is good.

Aside from garbage CGI everything is fine in Kingdom. At least from season 3 onwards CGI is mostly gone. It's only used for large-scale battles.

I'm not a manga reader, I'm just an anime only and this is one my top 3 favorite animes because I find the story extremely compelling, the fights are super hype and the characters seem very unique and mysterious.
The CGI didn't bother me at all, but the anime switches to traditional animation in season 2 and rarely uses CGI again (only in some specific shots).
It's true that the strength of some characters and even some war strategies are a bit exaggerated, but it's understandable, it's an anime after all, and it's goal is to tell (in some way) the real ancient chinese history that happened centuries ago.
The story and the characters keep getting better and the themes of war and politics deepen with each season, so if you're into that, you'll definitely enjoy the following seasons more.

I'm also anime only, and I'd put this show around #3 overall for my list. Even though the animation was hot garbage in the first two seasons, the story was really interesting and the main cast ended up being very captivating. It's kinda hard to explain, it's the only show I've watched where I was able to fully look past the CGI and still appreciate the show. Season 3 onwards are all 9-10/10 since the story really pops off, and there was a massive animation overhaul. It took me 5 or 6 episodes to get into the story, but all I have to say is that you should give it a chance. Or, just read the Manga lol

The animation is bad, we know, let’s talk about the rest. First of all, you gotta go on with the anime, Xin and Zheng are two incredible main characters, after the first arc it’s peak in every regards, the tactics become more and more amazing, with the coming of stronger generals we not only see bigger fights with higher stakes but also literal geniuses that lay down incredible plans, and when you arrive at the Coalition arc, which is literally top 3 arc of all time and it’s not number 3, you are in for the greatest and grandest tale ever narrated. Also the interactions between the various members of Xin’s little unit are amazing. So yeah, it’s literally peak. But of course, even with the improvements season after season, manga clears. Being also a huge Vinland Saga fan, Kingdom destroys it in every aspect possible, but Vinland Saga’s adaptation is done better with higher budget of course. Take into account that once finished Kingdom is going to be twice the length of One Piece, that’s how much there is to tell

based on the story of this anime. I like it I ignore the lousy CGI. I just like how the story is written partial fiction but the rest of these story is based on the story of Shih Huang Di. what we all all know today the great wall of china.

Took a little bit to get used to the CGI but once I did the rest was awesome. And it only got better with it peaking in S3 and staying great through S4 and S5. Since I've seen High Score Girl and The Duke of Death and His Maid I think the CGI also had less of an effect on me. I also knew going in that by S2 it would mostly be gone so that probably helped my expectations as well.

thought the same at fisrt, but go till 2nd season and you ll know. Large battle and big army strategy/war pov, better animation each 3 épisodes, narration go better, politics implication and développement/explanation but i stop here so you still have things to discover
