@Avvenirista I'm referring to when the enemies first come through the wall of the hiding spot at the start of the chase. Nikola does not seem like she thought that was possible. I didn't need them to say hey let's go to the tower with the fake wall, but a single example of them clipping during the search would have helped. They also might have explained at that time why Haga thought it was reasonable to tell her to smash her cheeks into walls when you can apparently fall out of bounds and be lost forever. What exactly was preventing that from accidentally happening to Nikola?
@Bio
Wait, you think she still wouldn't be surprised/scared if she saw a couple enemies casually walking towards her through walls even though she knew about glitched walls? I think that's a bit unfair.
You're absolutely right about your last point, but that's on Haga's character.

Liyuu's OP and Nacherry's ED are fine, I guess...

For much of Haga's state of bug checking, Nikola was the one outlier that he was not expecting to find alive, so much so that he allows her to become his assistant in the process, traveling through distant lands. And even towards the city of Adan, Haga is still kept on track for his debugging, but having Nikola do the work alongside him, is rather comical though.

QA testers Sakai and Sumida sure put a wrench to Haga's plans, though they're from a different company being stuck in the same game, trying other ways to get them to leave the game. For sure, Haga is not on the same wavelength as both debuggers, since he's dead staunch on not using debug mode. And for once, Haga and Nikola being able to steal Sumida's debug stone, he knows of a place where they can be safe with his old companions.

Even fellow debuggers also present a problem...

Poor Nikola had wide-eyed dreams of exploration and fantasy adventures, and instead Haga makes her scrape her face against a castle wall all day.

I wasn't expecting Haga and Nikola to run into other humans so soon, but I enjoyed it so I'm not complaining. I think it made perfect sense. People online are assholes. Of course these guys with unlimited power would be. And Haga by refusing to go along is a judgement call against what they're doing on top of them not seeming to actually want to get out of the game. It was fun having them use god mode trying to take on Haga and getting tricked. I've glitched out and fallen into the abyss a couple times in games in my day so that was very amusing to see play out if a little terrifying with the "real" implications for that rogue debugger.

Very solid episode seeing Nikola learning the ropes and some good action. Loving the soundtrack still.

After double-check this anime I find a interesant history with charismatic characters and wholesome moments. As a player who retry mission when npcs dies, I really did Makoto´s feelings about Nikola.
The plot is very realistic, you can prove to yourself searching histories in the MMORPG. As example the South park episode about WoW xD
I think If I would been a game tester like makoto, I would Play the history like a Fable game xD

Dropped - no shade to the anime adaptation, but I'm already caught up on the manga and it's just more fun to read the manga than watch the anime in this case.

That stuff with Nikola was interesting.
All that debugging was painful, I won't rub and run against brick walls.
That was a good plan to beat Sumida.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

[well, back to checking out this series]

But... how the fuck did they show at the beginning of them flying around...

Yet... they couldn't just fly back up from falling... (especially when they show they have god mode already active, so it somehow turned off without them realizing it?)

This is some crappy game they're debugging...

(plus... if you get the power from a stone, who in the right mind would just put it on a bag and strapped to your waist on a single piece of belt... you would stuff that thing in a inner pocket or tapped/ wrapped to your body)

.

(also... I am pretty sure scrapping your face (or any other body part) will rub your skin off and you'll start to bleed... but OFC, they're inside a game, I guess bleeding doesn't exist?)

(and how have MC not realized... after 10 years... is the game they're in even the game they were debugging?... is the game in the "real world" stuck at debugging stage for 10 years? LOL... you would think at this point, the game in the real world would be cancelled from development)

(TBH, on this part, I would have sided with the "bad guys"... especially if you've been sending reports and yet nothing about the game has changed for 10 years... I am pretty sure that means no one is working on the game anymore in real life)

It really irritates me that he is still trying to "debug things" and write reports when he is 100% trapped in the game...

I REALLY hope he becomes a little less rigid and actually realizes the situation he and begins to act like someone who isn't 100% insane.

Seriously freaking out about "debug mode" and doing nothing but checking for bugs and filing reports like a good little worker bee when you have been trapped for one year...

The MC just pisses me off, I hope he gets better.

EDIT:
He get some points for ruthlessly trapping someone's mind in an infinite fall though.

is this show like some cringe social commentary about corporate slaves in Japan or something? lol I couldn't take the MC seriously anymore after he was still nagging about using debug mode. What a clown.

Rip Sumida lmao

This felt like an improvement from last episode, though it felt a bit... Off at times? Not sure how to describe it
