Longer "Arcs"

Will the story ever have like an "arc" that spans over a longer period of time (like half an episode)? I'm enjoying the show a lot right now but it is obvious how short the chapters are from the fact that each episode is more like a collection of separate segments. I'm just wondering if we ever get like a segment that spans for like half an episode or maybe even an entire episode for some kind of super important moment.

I hope so, it jumps around a lot and that makes it kind of jarring. It makes it hard to feel emotions for the characters. If it keeps going this fast, we’re going almost get through their entire high school days by the end of the season lol.

Even if it doesn't have longer arcs it is just good like this. It is proudly delivering what it had in its synopsis and the title, so these short conversations are good enough in that context. Moreover, both the protagonists are so goofy and cheeky with each other that it's hard for me to imagine if they actually need any unnecessary long arc here. For example those boring school festivals arc.

Finally an anime where we just skipped the whole festival arc while only focusing on the best part (their conversation). I really don't find this trope of school festival arc any good (unless it's FruBa or COTE).
Out of context and unpopular opinion, but maybe Nanakura is the best girl of this season.

This anime doesn't have unnecessary side quests and only focuses on two people so they are covering everything but in short span just showing when these two are together.

They will cover more long period of time in a season which is a refreshing change.
Long arc maybe there but even if it isn't that won't hamper any progress

I think it’s perfect as is.

The show is about the “pseudo harem”, not about long events.

It is the MCs’ interaction with each other in whatever situation comes up.

So putting them in as many different situation as possible serves the anime perfectly, because it gives the them many different situations to react to.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Sometimes the story continues into the other chapter so you can get a bigger segment.
But most Of the show will stay exactly the same as it is right now.

For slice of life it's good. I think the long arc is how long it will take for them to actually get together.

I think it's fun to pretend that it's not a bit and she's actually got multiple personalities. Either that or maybe the MC is really just an upper classman douchebag leading her on for fun.

Sort of like how the anime "a condition called love" could turn and become a story about a toxic boyfriend and a niece girl who doesn't know what a healthy non abusive relationship looks like.

But back to this show it would be cool if they hookup and then the rest of the show is about how they use her characters to solve bigger problems with the other students.

Right now it just feels like that early relationship where you are so involved with the other person that you forget your friends or anyone else exists.

I think it captures that aspect of young infatuation perfectly.

it will be good if there is longer arcs.. but don't get me wrong the shorter arcs are not bad at all it make me want to see more of it so that's y there is a need for a longer arcs i am pretty sure there will be atleast one big arcs....

The source material is the way it is. Still think the anime is solid but there are issues with the pacing with the way the segments are stitched together compared to the manga, where reading it at my own pace felt a lot more natural. Not much can be done unless a lot of content is skipped or altered, and I'm still somehow managing to enjoy this series the way it is despite those clear issues, testament to how solid the material is. This kind of series doesn't really need longer arcs to be honest, would feel too forced and out of character for something like this.
