The final episode was the biggest and most important episode in Kny so far and it was expected to take over the Internet, which it did. It was able to break crunchyroll servers within 3 minutes of coming out. Not many are able to do this on such a large scale multiple times.
It was also trending number 1 worldwide on X when it released. The infinity castle trailer was trending in top 10 on YouTube, plus it has retained its spot as one of the most watched series this season on Netflix.

Now I need to wait a week or two for the Japanese viewership ratings which includes the DVR in its final report but so far, it looks amazing. The first episode had a viewership of 14.7 million. In comparison, the previous season's first episode had just over 15 million views. The last 2 episode easily must have crossed 15 million and maybe even 20 million. Needless to say it could be the most watched anime in Japan this year again.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Great input! I can’t wait for this trilogy I mean I’m 100% sure that they will deliver a new level of quality on every aspect, this will probably solidify Demon Slayer as the king of Japanese animated films at box office (This could change within time) but I mean mugen train did like 500 Million, I think that this trilogy on it’s entirety will cross the billion dollar mark when we check the combined box office for the 3 films.

I can not tell u how good the final episode was, arguably had the best animation in the show so far.

Gyomei vs Muzan was animated phenomenally.

That part we’re tanjiro was shouting out to muzan as he falls deeper into the castle gave me chills. Like it really hits different compared to the manga, seeing the grand scale of the castle and how never ending it is and the dark ominous vibe it gives off.

I’d argue this is the best adaptation of a manga of all time.

The website I was using was going down not long before the episode aired too 🤣🤣

Indeed. We have waited whole series to finally see Giyomei in action and ufo cooked hard. The fight (kinda hard to call it a fight tho) was so brilliantly animated and Giyomei's Breathing Style looked amazing. The explosion in slow motion reminded me of that scene from X-Men and it looked absolutely amazing.

It was certainly a good episode, but tbh I was more looking forward to the last Hibike episode since that season got me hooked way more than the training arc of Demon Slayer xD

Anyways, Demon slayer apparently broke multiple other servers of pirating sites. Its also one of the highest rated episodes on multiple sites.

I kind of respect Demon Slayer's ability to just be the most boring, repetitive series it can possibly be and then have 5 minutes that look really good that just has plenty people be forgetting like the rest of mediocre/boring stuff even happened. They can phone in the story and have the same, unoriginal and boring jokes and cliche use of backstories but a few minutes cut of it works like magic to turn everything far more positive than it actually is. ufotable saved this show so badly. Even in s1, all friends I know that saw the show only remembered that last few minutes of ep 19 in particular and thats it and its raved bout. Or a couple minutes of ep 10 in s2 lol and not much else. Even a stretched out ep with so much wasted time early on with repeated segments, overly long use of music to fill time out, a comedy segment that breaks tension built up at the very end to close the season and a very, very dragged out speech aside and a few minutes turn everything to magic. Fair play ig.

@MangagnaM I also kinda respect how consistent demon slayer is. I mean every episode is beautifully crafted yet they still manage to create an episode that stands out the entire season. Its like there are moments that should be remembered by every person who watches it. S1 was brilliant as a lot of my friends followed it before ep 19 and loved it. Even interesting is that a lot of my friends got introduced to anime through demon slayer. A lot of my friends started rewatching anime (after quiting it a long time ago) due to demon slayer. It's certainly one of the most memorable shows of all time.

@shrade117 Just a reminder that demon slayer has been breaking the internet before the pandemic.
