The only drawback I can think is potentially waiting longer as compared to if they released a two cour season + final season, but otherwise, a trilogy is actually pretty dope I think, especially since it's Ufotable.

For comparison, there are two arcs remaining, Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown, which both combined equal 66 chapters (and remember, a lot of these are fight chapters).

Mugen train movie covered 13 chapters in a single, which ran for roughly 120 minutes.

So since we already saw that they did damn good job with a 13 chapter arc, I think a trilogy to cover 66 chapters makes total sense (and especially since movies are simply more visually appealing than TV shows, especially if they have an entire year to work on each one).

The above sounds good with the assumption that a huge portion of chapters that are remaining consist of fight scenes, and they consider making each movie that runs close to 150 minutes.

Any guesses on the pacing? 66 divided by 3 means that each movie should adapt about 22 chapters, but some fights, IIRC, are much longer or shorter than just 22 chapters. Perhaps Ufotable is going to put half of a fight in one movie and then the rest of it in the other? They'll probably stretch it with original scenes. Where are the potential cliffhangers here for the first two?
I have read 2 perfect chapters of manga; They are Usogui Chapter 203 and Onani Master Kurosawa Chapter 23.

They sure did a good job on milking this series to the fullest lol. But its actually more convenience for me cuz id hate to see a cliffhanger every week for 3 freakin straight months.

Will they cover the Sunrise countdown arc in the trilogy moves too?
I don't think they will since they are only saying Infinity Castle Arc.

From a business standpoint it makes more sense better production time, higher profits, and better animation they don't really care about it taking longer for the rest of the world to see it as long as the Japanese audience gets to see it easily they're fine
I'd rather die a free man then live under the rules of idiots

Currently there is not confirmation they will. It could very well be another season

I don't think, I believe its better this way. Anime fans always complain that we can wait for years but we want better adaptation. Now we got to see this but it's demon slayer so let's complain. They haven't even mentioned the release schedule yet. Plus its going to get a global release.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

I actually think that the sunrise arc will not be adapted in this. I think that's gonna be a season 🤔

Hopefully they do a good job; The decision to make Fate/Heavens Feel a trilogy was not ideal

@IkemenSenpai The part after the infinity castle is all a single fight. Singular fights don't lend themselves well to episodes format, hence the movies. It's pretty clear that it will all be covered in a single movie. The first movie will the upper moon 2 and 3 since they are shorter fights, the 2nd movie will be upper moon 1 and the 3rd one is Muzan, I am 90% confident that they can fit all of them quite easily like that, without the fights feeling too tedious/drawn out.
