| This show turned out about how I thought. I understand where its score comes from. Ars himself, just isn't an interesting character. I sort of hoped I'd be wrong but the appraisal skill just isn't very useful or interesting. Him picking out strong characters at first was neat but there's only so many ways that you can make the stats and the various aptitudes aren't used in any way to distinguish a character. This may just be me in how I enjoy an isekai (new abilities or skills that keep you questioning what the world has to offer). The characters have high values in many of these stats/aptitudes. So we were bound to see some overlapping characters and we get that with Mireilla. She's got the fighting ability of Rietz and is a better strategist when compared with Rosell. The other issue I have with Ars is that his personality is rather lacking. I admit that it's hard to make your main character shine when there's a bunch of more amazing people around him. I don't believe anyone would betray him but I also don't fully understand why they see him as great as they do. Sure he doesn't discriminate and is kind...but surely he's not unique in that way? I just wish he would occasionally do something on his own. When they first showed him at age 3, he was reading and writing like mad. I thought maybe he had some higher than normal intellect but he's never one to come up with ideas and he is always being explained things it seems he should know. The side characters are all pretty likable and I do enjoy the minor moments between Licia and Ars (if I put aside the whole isekai'd background). I really enjoyed Licia's inner monologue and hope we see more of that in the future. Charlotte and Rietz both had some good character development and Rosell while semi invalidated by Mireilla is still impressive for his young age. I'm undecided about Mireilla right now, she's annoying at times but does have her moments. Overall, I did enjoy the show and will watch season 2 but I prefer other series (Skeleton Knight, Black Summoner, Weakest Tamer, Strongest Exorcist, etc) that have similar base scores (7). |

| Now I'm ready to follow the 2nd season. I feel like giving this anime an 8/10 is being too nice, but I really do enjoy it. I will not state my in-continuity frustration question issues. Basically just said the obvious for her actions: The shinigami is already good enough trainer, she wouldn't add anything. The strategist is already books smart and being a teacher might not be her strong suit, but obviously being able to run has value. The mage goes BAM BANG BOONG!!! 5/5, I look forward to the war council. Rosell's fear came true, with the female faction growing stronger and scarier hahaha. |

| Decent enough show for what I call "Reincarnated as a rich kid" sub genre of isekai. Wasnt any real adventure, it began to get repetitive, and the "talent/skill" system was a bit underwhelming. SO close to being a better show at times. 5.5/10 |
| It was an entertaining watch and I'm glad there's a sequel coming. Ars can totally become an emperor honestly. 8 |
