I think the show implies that she does talk but we just don’t get to see it on-screen for stylistic reasons. There are multiple times where characters casually mention that they’ve just spoken to her off-screen. IIRC one time was her sister and another time was with Hidaka before their match.

I think it's more she is pissed off with her family, and people fawning over her because she's rich... Not one for small talk.
