Were people critical of it? Yes, but from what I can tell, the majority of people who watched it and are fans of both series acknowledge the movie's flaws, but are still happy that it ever happened
| @A-lil-weeb-dog True, the MAL stats alone are leaning into the 7-8-9-10 whether it's nostalgia or not. This wouldn't have happened without Netflix but I personally would rather a full fledged attempt rather than a half-ass one. |
