As i said in the post you quoted, 4 Volumes in 12 Episodes (so 3 Episodes per Volume) is actually the average for Light Novels adaptation to animation. So yes, it's rushed, but even 6 Episodes per Volume is still rushed, and lose a lot of the detail and characterization of the story; that's just how difficult it is to translate a text-based media on a visual one. 3 Episodes for ~200 pages of text definitely is short, but it's still somehow enough to get the core of the story understood, and for Mahouka, we are a little bit above of that, with the repartition even being unequal this Season (4 Episodes for Double Seven and Steeplechase, but 5 for the 2 Volumes of Ancient City Insurrection). It's definitely sad that such a popular work gets such an average adaptation (adaptation-wise), but that's how it is. If you want the full story, the Light Novel is available; the Anime is merely an ads to boost the sales of it. |
