Why do MAL not use the correct tags?

Just wanted to ask and see if anyone knew the answer to this, cause this anime for some reason doesnt have the GL “Girls Love” tag, even though it is a GL story.

Don't know. It had one initially. Only thing I can think of is that if you watch this first season for GL, you'll probably be disappointed because none of the relationships develop on that front. Momo and Akari are both kind of obsessed with Menou, but Menou doesn't reciprocate. It'd be like labeling Railgun as yuri because of Kuroko.

there is nothing Girls love about this anime it seems more like a friendship thing plus girl love falls in romance tag so this anime has no romance

@Kreshre The source material, which this is adapted from has Girls Love as a tag. Also by your logic with, it falls in romance tag, then Adachi to Shimamura anime shouldnt be tagged as a Girls Love either, since the anime never adapted the source material to the point where romance starts to happen

The tags for a lot of anime are messed up cause users are not allowed to submit changes for them. Even though we can constantly send edit requests for bullshit like "duration" we have NO SAY over the more important things like genres and tags.

There's so many incorrect and missing tags on this website.

If you go to the official english manga/LN publisher it has yuri as a genre for the series.
