| I watched the movie in 2019 and started this one on 2020 but there was only one OVA subbed at the time, and now I finished it because the rest of it was subbed. Both installments have some of the worst fansubs by the way. Anyways, compared with the movie, it has the same ups and downs, this one has more of a story and slightly more explored characters, I'd say, but worse production and a slower pacing because it doubles the runtime of the previous one. Both entries are watchable occult anime to kill some time. |
| The fansub for the OVA seems much worse than the one for the movie. And I think the movie was also better overall. It was decent but the pacing might have been a bit too slow and the ending is disappointing. All the villains we knew basically just die and are replaced by a yellow blob demon tree. It's not out of nowhere since we knew the tree was important but still... |
