Ah...so the title of this anime has been shortened from: Sasaki, the interdimensional human trafficker, and his accomplice Peeps.

Merchant Marc has been imprisoned and framed for jealousy I presume.
Sasaki decides to start a new trading company under the same merchant that he first met in the otherworld: Marc Trading Company.
He begins trading rare earth minerals that are worth less in the otherworld than the modern world. Peep got exposed yet again but this time he spoke more openly with the Princess. Elsa got a little to excited to see what Sasaki was up to and snuck into the crate; I was wondering what'd happen if someone teleported without peep's knowledge and I guess nothing bad happens.

Episode was decent, a lot of political rules being set down

The author of this anime demonstrates a typical lack of understanding of the aristocracy and its mores, customs and modus operandi. For a start, in a more realistic incarnation, the king would not promise a crown, but inbreeding, land, special rights and more. There are many examples of this in history. But giving up the crown... It could happen, but under duress, where there were elective monarchies. Like the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

As for war with the Empire. Well, for a conventional Renaissance era, and there is such a thing, it is quite normal for a small kingdom to defeat the Empire in a defensive war, or at least give the Empire a run for its money. For example, the Great Northern War. Sweden lost, but it took 20 years. And it seems to me that Charles failed in diplomacy and prolonged the war.
