Have you heard about the upcoming anime adaptation of 'Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria'? There's quite a buzz surrounding it, but here's the catch – the manga hasn't exactly set the ratings on fire over at MyAnimeList and AniList. With opinions split, some folks are questioning if it's jumping the gun. Do you think this series needs more time to build its fanbase, or is it primed and ready for its animated debut? Come on in and let's chat about it!

Mal and Ani list ratings don't really matter tbh, we don't know what*s going on in Japan, it could be pretty famous there, and it's been over 3 years since it's come out, don't think that's early many non popular mangas from around then have been getting adaptations

A good anime adaptation can help the series on building a large fanbase. Recent example such as oshi no ko and frieren shows if the anime adaptation is good and the storyline is solid enough the manga sales can be more than double. But it all depends on how the anime turns out to be. For now we can only wait and speculate

A well-crafted anime adaptation can greatly enhance a series’ popularity. Recent successes such as Oshi no Ko and Frieren illustrate that when the adaptation is skillfully done and the plot is compelling, manga sales can more than double. Nevertheless, the outcome hinges on the quality of the anime. For now, we can only anticipate and conjecture. my ford benefits

@thomas642daniel for argument sake Frieren was already sold 10M before the anime adaptation and boosted to 17M with the adaptation in that particular case it was more a matter of when.

anime adaptations are usually promotions to the source material like manga anyway

so they are expecting manga sales boost from the anime adaptation
