Although this ep was mainly just talking, it wasn't boring at all. HC also said one of his famous lines "the mere existence of someone is hope."

This episode was everything!!!😭😭😭 The Hualian hurt/comfort crumbs hit extra hard after last week's episode🥹. I can't believe that next week is probably the last episode of S2😭... I'm so happy that this episode's dialogue was pretty much pulled straight from the novel. They finally animated one of my all-time favourite lines from the book as well as one of my favourite scenes!

They went above and beyond again by adding extra flashback scenes. Seeing that butterfly fly past the cavern where Xie Lian was sealed in the coffin was extra painful ngl... They truly just missed each other on a few occasions during Xie Lian's second banishment🥹.

Towards the end of the episode, we had some more comedic scenes which was a nice palate cleanser. Wind Master calling Hua Cheng the sworn brother of Xie Lian had me rolling lmao🤣. Feng Xin and Hua Cheng's thinly hidden animosity towards each other was utterly hilarious😂—so much so that I can't wait for Mu Qing to be thrown into the fray during later arcs lol.

I don't want to wait another two years for the next season 😭😭😭 if we get one at all.... we're probably safe for one more season but after that we're into book three and that's when they have their first kiss so....

I loved the silver butterfly flying around looking for Xie Lian, what a great detail.

The Wind Master is a real one as always, covering for Xie Lian so he can traipse around with his beloved Ghost King.

AAAAAAAAA i am satisfied. The way HC comforted XL was so warm. Istg Hualian invented love the way this man is such a green flag. The scene where HC made it rain blood and pulled XL close and then covered FX with blood - funny.
