| Anyone still asking themselves why the series has a low score should understand it by now right? Look at this episode, a character gets directly attacked by a monster that normally can destroy everything, and is not even in a critical condition. A crisis presents itself, a solution appears out of nowhere right after in the form a rich dude with silly reasons (thogh proper methods and an understandable train of thought behind them) that made half the episode to feel dumb. Then another crisis presents itself at the end of the episode, leaving the last one to tackle...buying the fishing rights of the lake, dealing with the monsters, a small bussiness winning against a big company, also leaking their information to the public, and the expected return of the islanders to their houses, for a single one last episode of 24 minutes. I like the show for its retro premise and feel, but the constant switch in tone, the attempt to mix so many elements in it, and the overall messy writing, partly because of the way the characters act, don't do its initial potential much justice. |
| Silly reason? Don't underestimate baldies. What is true is that this episode's pace was all over the place because the animation studio is adapting a three books long novel series (I didn't even know Bullbuster wasn't an original anime until today) into a twelve episode long TV anime series, and now it's time to hurriedly wrap things up. In hindsight, a six month run with lots of fluff and anime original contents could've worked much better for Bullbuster. |
| Shiota Chem's quaky business discovered at Hokujin Lake, and indeed, they find a Giant Beast, but Arumi has to put herself in danger just to get evidence alone. Even worse, the livestream that Namidome was supposed to prove of Shiota Chem's wrongdoings got a lot of backlash, and there is no doubt that smaller companies are in relation with them to get rid of all evidence, not to mention the islanders of Ryugan Island being on their side with the merger. Namari is poised to grow in Shiota, and Namidome gets an unexpected benefactor through Tomarasa Takarada of Takarada Health, whom he has done his investigation of the island, and found out that its rare leather coral...is a cure for hair loss. Sure, it's an investment that trades hands between small companies. Though Mizuhara, Namidome learns from her that the stuff in Hokujin Lake, especially the Giant Beasts, they want to use the lake to cultivate the beasts for bigger research propositions. The problem is, where to input business, and in a weird combination of hair loss and profit, they shake hands on it. And as is with the island's Neighbourhood Association, Namari did their big favour to resign and relinquish them with Shikauchi's plan, but Washizu spurring ahead with the merger plan, they're bound for profits in this war to take back Ryugan Island. Yeap, this penultimate episode feels like too much plot to rush and accomplish for the finale, but I wish for at least a decent ending. |

| Now it all comes crashing down! A lot happend in this episode, but the goal for the finale is clear: Crush Shiota, both economically and literally! I can't wait for the finale. Hopefully they get it all done in a decent pacing - so far this show has excelled in that category, but there's a lot left to cover in 22 minutes. |
| It got a little silly with magical wealthy man coming out of nowhere, but they managed to sufficiently explain his interests in the projects in a very business oriented way. Also the random off screen beast attack resolution wasn't great that I can't deny. I would have preferred if people had crowd funded their success over this still, but its not bad. Really eager to see how this all ends. |
| Shiota has sent their troll army to Namidome's live streams as expected. The snake oil salesman outta nowhere clicks with with Kataoka due to the mutual condition. Bravo Namari for blowing the whistle. The islanders deserve to know the truth. |

| Kataoka's hard-coded logic for accounting just crumbled and dissolved when heard about a bald drug... Nothing else matters now... Granted the company was on deaths door anyways... |
