| It's been awhile since we've had an episode where Arale "plays" with a criminal. This one really doesn't change up the formula too much and thus didn't really leave much of an impact. Probably the most noteworthy thing about it is how the Penguin Village Police have become self-aware and actively seek out her help. Suppaman tries exploiting her as well, though being an idiot he fails. The finale, in which Arale chases Saburo Crocodile to literally the ends of the Earth and beyond, was reminiscent for me of an old Tex Avery Droopy cartoon. It was cute, but this episode won't be sticking with me for too long, I suspect. Next week we'll be getting into the more festive season with another episode based on a manga chapter that was previously skipped. :) |
