Usually nudity&s3x scenes don't necessarily translate to hentai. I realized this about a year into watching anime lol. There often has to be a certain level of *detail* in hentai content, which Midori doesn't contain.

Hentai is specifically made for sexual pleasure, this is not intended to be pleasant in any way to the viewer. It contains nudity, but that isn't the main focus, hence not an hentai.

It's because it's not focused on p0rn0graphy, hentai is for you to watch p0rn, this anime is just for you to feel disgusted and create 30 different types of trauma. It has to be focused on pornography to be a hentai, just having some scenes with adult content doesn't make an anime necessarily become a hentai

an example is kaifuki, it has some heavy hentai scenes, but as the story is not very focused on that, it is not considered a hentai

So I haven't watched this, and don't intend to EVER. But to shed light on why something is or is not classified as hentai-
Nothing to do with how "fappable" it is. I doubt Beladonna of Sadness is fappable, and it has a hentai tag.

What makes something hentai is if it shows penetration (censored or not). If it does not show the actual act of penetration, then it is not classified as hentai.
