Final episode next week, do you think there'll be a season 3?

I believe it will. We still have a lot more things to see and know so it can't stop here. So far, the show is really good and it's one of the best anime adaptations of a game I have ever seen. I'm hoping for a 3rd season.

Oh there will definitely be another season, if not two. At the very least.

Team has been very clear about wanting to adapt all of this, so until chapter 8 at the very least (this season ends at chapter 6, and technically both 7 and 8 can be considered two standalone arcs each).

Yeah and I've been playing this game since launch, they have been a lot more vivid with the foreshadowing and future story points than they were in the game itself. Not to mention that the content from episode 6 (5-8) has been greatly re-arranged to fit within episodes nicely, which I like a lot.

From a personal perspective, I wish that the most assured season 3 adapts or at least adds part of the content from the more main story-related events into the anime. Like there is one related to W, that dives into her character, her backstory, and extra events that happened during what would be season 1 of the anime. There's also one such story for Kal'tsit.

It would really help to lay out more groundwork for season 3 and potentially onward, since episode 7 and 8 in the game are big and wide-spanning.

If TLDR about 6+ seasons and 3+ OVAs. That's what's most likely to be adapted from in game content.

By in-game content, I assume you mean the in-game content for the main story because otherwise there's just too many for me to give a plausible approximation.

OVAs are the likeliest format for certain side stories(ss) that are directly connected to the main story but they could either be their own season or be merged with a future season following the main story.

The main story is divided in arc 1 and arc 2.
It is unsure whether the anime will adapt arc 2. The in-game story is currently in arc 2.

To finish arc 1 there are 2 seasons + 1 OVA(Darknights Memoir) remaining. If they do adapt that OVA it is much more likely for them to adapt arc 2.

2 OVAs between Arc 1 and 2. (Walk in the dust + Vigilo)

At least 4 seasons of content in Arc 2 including CN main story for now.

I'm really unsure if the stuff below will be adapted.
A season dedicated to the ss(Undertides + Stultifera Navis + perhaps a bit of Grani and the Knight's treasure).

A season dedicated to the ss(Lone trail)

1 OVA(What the firelight casts)

I hope I didn't forget something important.
