I think best place for the ending would be at where the bloody diary disappears with "The End" across the screen. Then after the credits it shows Mia's granddaughter in a dark library hugging a book asleep with "Or Is It?" afterwards. The problem is the diary disappears in the 2nd novel half way through I think. Is there enough material in the first one and half books without it making it feel it's dragging along.

We had almost identical anime airing last season, so I guess it will go in similar direction.
But I guess this one is better, because MC is not inhabiting a body of former villainess, because here she is an exact same person, but (slightly) humbled.

Based on History, I am absolutely sure the Tearmoon Empire will come to its end. Tearmoon will have a new regime. What Princess Mia is doing will not affect the change of regime in Tearmoon itself but how it will happen. By being given the chance to save her future self from the guillotine and acting with more or less success, Princess Mia is changing her story and her future to a one where she will live longer and better and do a peaceful transition to a new regime. Remember Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari: Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story is loosely based on France History... and Princess Mia is loosely based on Queen Marie-Antoinette.

@durask I wouldn't say skipped, they just trimmed down some things here and there in the last episode.

Open ending. it will pretty much adapt all of the content that was so far adapted in the manga and pretty much end exactly where it is currently.

Looks like they plan to cover up to the end of Volume 2 of the light novel.

it's diffrent.

i have read up to vol 10 already with all true villain pop out and other importand plot points.

and no the novel still not end yet still continued.




read the novels. you will not regret it.

specially for cut content about how the diary is change by mia actions and flash back.

and i think the anime will cut "what if route" as well.
