prequel or movie?

I would like to watch the movie since I just finished episode 381. Should I watch the movie or the prequel first (sometimes this still differs, so I ask to be sure) I also heard that there is a filler arc that is something has to do with, is that right?

ur fine to just watch the movie, the prequel goes through the villains backstory so if ur interested in that then watch the prequel
