Suspended on episode (400 or 224) but... probably it will come back.

I like this show, or else I wouldn't watch 400 episodes, but it has been getting a bit lame.
I've watched half of Ruo Hong Culture donghuas, they make good copypasta xianxia, the good things they make are very good and the bad things are very bad, there is no in between.
It does feel that they start a lot of projects without properly evaluating them, and only continue the ones that are successful, which is unfortunate, they should evaluate better their projects before starting them.

just realized i hadn't seen a new episode recently. this might be a good place for me to just drop it.

like you said, it was a good show but now it's lame. it happens a lot. once a donghua (or any show, really) gets beyond it's first main arc or two, the quality drops as things start to go all over the place

@HagePotPotato Yeah i agree but that does not stop me from watching it :D.
As for this suspension in the middle of a fight was bad so i do hope it does continue.

Until then i will just heave to continue watching the others like battle through the heavens and douluo dalu who i heave to say for me are the top 2.
The others i watch are kind of at the same level but the 2 from above are something alse.

in an attempt to avoid spoiling douluo dalu (soul land) for anyone, all i'll say is, that show is one of the GREAT anime/donghua i've watched that also fell victim to turning into shit after it's main/initial storyline concluded. i completely lost interest during the 100-episode battle/war/fight/whatever arc. it just wasn't nearly as good

that said, the episode/scene (prior to the battle/war/fight/whatever arc) where something big happens while OP 2 is playing is one of the greatest scenes in all of animated tv. ever. in history. in all of human existence. if i think about it for too long i might cry right now even though i originally watched that like 2-3 years ago(?)

there are several other donghua that i think are really good and worth watching, and either at or near the quality of soul land and btth. and pretty much all of them go through similar downfalls after the initial arc is completed. (it's simply VERY HARD to keep the story going, and to keep it interesting and exciting and all of that. for any show. for any movie series. it's not just an anti-donghua thing. MAYBE I JUST HAVE A.D.H.D., idk). because i also think btth saw a huge drop off after the 3 year agreement (or whatever it's called). it has picked back up some during this current arc, but it is still a far cry from that season 3(?) lead up to the 3 year agreement arc. season 3 was "most excellent" (wayne's world lingo).

i posted my comment over 3 weeks ago, and until you replied to it the other day, i hadn't thought about THIS show once. i think that is proof i no longer need/want to watch it, and that it's no longer worth watching FOR ME (if you or anyone else still enjoys it, PLEASE, continue watching - DO. NOT. BE. DISSUADED. BY. MY HATER-ADE. COMMENTS.)

@HagePotPotato I can understand your point of view, but i guess everyone likes some stuff for a time then some lose interest while others still loves to watch and re-watch them.
As for me if i vibe with the characters and the story overall and the background of side characters story i want to see it as a complete story and only after the hole story its completed/animated and finished i can give my thoughts but i love similar stories, watching characters grow, get stronger and form bonds, friendship or love and the fights as well.

In the end i think everything comes to personal tastes some anime are good for some people while others not good(same goes with games).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts :).

Since i started watching donghua i did enjoy a lot of them and the list is not small and rewatched them a lot waiting for the stories to continue like:

Wu Dong Qian Kun, Xue Ying Ling Zhu, Wan Jie Shen Zhu, Yao Shen Ji, The Legend of Sword Domain, Xingchen Bian, Wan Jie Xian Zong, wu shen zhu zai,
Soul land, shen wu dianfeng, wu shang shen, BTTH, ling jian zun, perless martial spirit and shen yin wangzuo.

As you can see a lot and still i love them so maybe i am not the type to get bored of this type of donghua.

@MrGaby you are absolutely correct that we all like what we like and dislike what we dislike. it's a very personal and subjective thing. i wish i still enjoyed many shows as much now as i once did. watching good, fun, enthralling shows is much better than being disappointed and let down lol. and i do think MAYBE there is something to it that i just "lose interest" in some shows after time (like a boredom? or ADHD? idk). but i also very much KNOW that the very things that made those same shows great are oftentimes discarded as the series progresses. it's very difficult to maintain that style of storytelling and development throughout a long, epic story.

some of my favorite scenes of all-time are from shows that are still airing but that i no longer watch because - in my opinion - they weren't able to maintain that same great level of storytelling. it's just hard. but i'll always enjoy those 50 or 100 or 200 good episodes before my interest started to wane

i will look up those shows you listed. several of them are familiar, and i know i've watched/am watching them. are they are "cultivation" donghua? xianxia type shows? or do you watch other donghua genre as well?

@HagePotPotato Mostly i watch cultivation based i don't watch other types at least not yet, a lot of them from that big list are still ongoing and i also watch JP anime so can't watch too many at the same time :D. As for JP in the last years mostly i watched isekai anime with reincarnated characters or transfered to another world since this days long and good shows don't get released in JP anime only seasonal anime like 12/13 episodes and you heave to wait years for a second season if it ever happends :)
Good anime like naruto/bleach/dragon ball/inuyasha and others they don't make this days.

Hmm... just started "Season 1, episode 1" LOL

Decide to check out the most current/ latest of this series to see how the series became.

And it was this thread... where apparently shows the series being on Haitus (maybe) and the series has gone down the hill...

Now I am wondering if I should even bother starting up (watching) this series from season 1 episode 1, hmm...

@amlg

I say go for it... its a good time filler to let the other shows queue up for more episodes....

Seeing as this just continues on & on & on etc...
Not much changes, Girls just love the MC, not sure if he really is interested.
What happened to the Revenge, that was the main reason for him being there??
