To be honest, this was the worst rated isekai I've rated. I've watched almost 200 series with the isekai tag in it, and this was one of the worst in my opinion. I did try to manga and it was alright, but it was a bit too generic. The side characters were more interesting than the MC, the fights were a bit too straightforward (no strategy, just 1 shot), the world building was non existent. So it was really hard to stay attached to this series.

I enjoy the slimes a lot also loved the voices they gave them in the anime. Yeah the anime was lackluster I had more fun with the manga but if the production improves a little bit it’s an easy story to read. People confuse complexity with adequacy, yes it’s very simple and the MC is pretty bland but that gives the author an opportunity to surprise us. Do I think its a top tier show no but it’s enjoyable

Slimes getting smug but would cry eventually after they realise they don't have Yuuji's prowess.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Maybe, it's Japan. they seem to love this kind of anime. but I think the lack of fan service will not generate the demand for ssn2

6. Slimes.

7. Slime with a mustache.

8. Slime with leaves on its head.

9. Slime with eye patch.

10. Slime with big eyebrows.

11. Slime with Luffys' cut mark on its face.

12. Normal slimes.

13. Red fire slime with fire on its head.

14.

15. No complicated spells. Just good old fireballs.

And last but not the least

16. Gohan dayo!!!!

I would say Isekai cheat magician was a solid 6/10 for me.

This series is a Guilty pleasure.

to be honest. It sucks harder than me playing healer in Valorant.

but that is in my opinion also its charm.
i enjoyed the mc getting to tame a slime by accident.
he just so happened to find a cabin full of grimoires. just so happened to tame another 100 ish slimes. and they. just so happen to help him obtain the sage title.

i loved that part.

also he and wood chopping. beautiful.

final bossfight was a bit meh. but i loved the recognition at the end of the final episode.

that part is something i rewatch more than i should.

i know its bad taste in anime but like i said it's a Guilty pleasure. just like having Redo of healer in your top 20 anime. (not that i would ever have that series in my top 20 cough cough. :P)

Imma be honest, I hopped on board with this anime because the OP was one of my favorites in recent memory. But I stuck around because even tho the story wasn’t perfect, it was still a lot of fun to watch what Yuji would get up to week-to-week. The action scenes also looked surprisingly good for the lack of budget I assumed the show had.

It's just what a isekai I expect to be. Some might find it boring or cliché but to me it's just perfect to watch the whole series and don't need to connect dot because of complicated story.

I really like this show, I enjoyed it. At first I really thought that it would be like reincarnated as a slime because of the character illustrations. But the idea of an MC being a tamer is brand new to me, in games i always like being the summoner so this hits me. I also like the slimes in particular, super strong and cute. Lastly, the ending of this anime made me enjoy it the most. I like it when all the people in town get together to protect their place even if it’s very common to most anime. Him also being recognized as Yuji the tamer by the guild is also one of the good shit. If you tried enjoying the anime instead of complaining about it maybe you might appreciate this anime more. Nonetheless a good anime with an okayish ending.

In the time since this was posted Isekais have gotten even more strictly fan service. When a mom, cousin, step-sister, and childhood friend are all trying to have sex with MC it gets to be way too much.

This anime shows from episode 2 that MC basically learned an entire library of magic from the start and going forward just uses spells or methods he thinks should work.

It's not meant to be some deep, make you think anime. And it's honestly a nice change of pace.

As to everyone hating on it, I'm sure they are the same people who say that people who watch anime with DUBs aren't real anime watchers and criticize an anime with an awesome story because of the animation quality.

Not every anime has to be some 200 episode saga with 8 storyline going at once. The dude wants to be an unknown and just happens upon stuff that helps local towns and villages throughout his wandering aimlessly. There is no main goal.
