Goated chapter. It truly goes to show that a perfect family doesn’t exist.

@WalterBlack59 it really is not that hard to understand why this arc is happening. First of all, it’s resolving Sota’s mystery as a family member. Second of all, this is also pure character development for Tsubasa when he will go back to his real family. This was him trying to escape from everyone AND the mystery involving it. I’m pretty sure it was mentioned many times he was done trying to resolve the dream mystery etc. We literally had a whole chapter about Tsubasa talking about it with Nakajima like a few weeks ago.

If you have an attention span and story comprehension of a monkey then that’s a you problem.

You really had to edit your comment to call me a monkey. Shows how immature you are to go out of your way to insult me. I've read tons of slow stuff with diversion but this is unnecessary because we already know about sota and his past we don't need to see unlikable characters and his broken camera for the 50th time. This shit is dumb and losing it's original premise and mystery so of course people are not gonna like it.

Judging by your rating and favorites you don't know jack shit about writing so I guess this discussion is over.

@Xenocrisi first point: no it doesn't. the only mystery is what's in his room. what we're seeing is irrelevant to that.

second point: what "character development" is gonna help tsubasa when going back to family, other than facing reality or helping family (which is exact opposite of what he's currently doing)? and where do you see that development?

third point: bruh, tsubasa's objective here is to bring back souta. escapism is only an after thought because he, for whatever reason, is staying with souta. and no there's no mystery involved here.

fourth point: "trying" is where that ends. he is not doing anything, but just saying or thinking about his dream. FAR from trying if you ask me.

This arc is valid because you can't introduce Sota as a major reveal and then give his character *nothing.* This arc is his character moment and it's all part of the repetition of themes about family friction. I'm enjoying the drama, Taizan5 is good at it lol

@WalterBlack59 I think it's a push to put Sota's character back into the main story and emphasize that this is his cruel reality. We got the personal drama of other characters, and now it's his turn. I suppose it feels more detached because they're characters we were just introduced to.

I planned to call you one since the start, just forgot to add it in. Sorry me editing my comment bothered you so much.
It just sounds like you don’t like how the story is developing. that is fine, but this arc is not unnecessary. We have also been introduced to Ayano and Kenta which where foreshadowed like 20 chapters ago. Moreover, how do u know if it’s actually unnecessary or not? You cant know if any of this will have any consequences on the main story. And looking at Tsubasa’s family reaction, I’m pretty sure it will spin the story around.

Ah yes, of course it had to be the anime elitist with only anime from the 1800 and “classics” in his favorites commenting on my tastes. I hope you know u aren’t better than anyone else here.

I am not better than anyone else just pointing out that you don't know jack shit about writing and quality with the garbage that you consume. You are what you eat.

Also remember the first chapters? The boring mindless bullying Backstory with sotas friend? Yeah that led to nowhere and I thought the Manga was getting axed. You could have legit introduced the friend without this constant back and forth for five weeks.

1. Perhaps if you connected two dots in your brain and try to see more than your step you might realize that this whole arc is obviously leading to the room reveal. Perhaps not, but you can’t say otherwise neither.

2. Again, facing reality is the whole point of this whole manga. This seems a pretty big development for me. You just don’t like it.

3. Not sure where you got the “Tsubasa needs to bring Sota back”. Unless I have short memory, which might be the case, I don’t remember Tsubasa ever mentioning that. He was just curious about his brother and then things developed the way they did.

4. I mean, that’s because we know just as much as the protagonist. He doesn’t know what to do about it either. But Im not sure where you got the impression that Tsubasa didn’t try to do anything up to this point. Did we read the same story?

As for the reason I didn’t reply faster is because I had to go to work and didn’t have time to reply to both. But you sound just like the other idiot judging by your second comment that u were so impatient for a reply of mine. Won’t bother replying to you or the other guy anymore

@Xenocrisi alright at least you got something to say

1."Perhaps not, but you can’t say otherwise neither." see the problem? you said to connect dots and this is your conclusion, a safety net of "it might happen, it might not happen". connecting dots mean that you can easily tell this arc would lead to room reveal, no? but that is not the case here.

2.if this fake family gave him the impression of "my family functions better" then fine that is a development. if only that came out of his mouth instead of our interpretation.

3. THINK ABOUT IT. why else would he go through the trouble finding souta? to bring him back. so yes you do have short memory, look back at ch 34.

4. "He doesn’t know what to do about it either" ...seriously? I don't fucking care if he's lost, it's his job to find his way. but no he doesn't do anything to compensate that let alone retrieve souta. now tell me exactly what he "tried" after that, in my eye he is not doing anything meaningful.

I don't care if we get along or not but you're surely making that impossible.

Yeah, Sota needs to witness this and digest.
His cultish fake family is starting to breaking apart.

Not dealing with problems can be detrimental but also if they came from actually abusive households it can also be a bigger problem. It seems the story is more about a family who ran away from good homes for bad reasons but going back to an actually abusive family is not always the best choice. Curious to see where this goes.

Yeah, I started to fear that their lives weren't as abusive as we think... like Ayano saying she doesn't know how coupons and sale work.
It will sounds messed up but I hope they are really from abusive household, like they had good reason to runaway.

We both were right lol

Say what you will about Kenta, but the fact that he of all people called Sota out is damn respectable for a brat like him
