| Magi can be very gray at times The only characters I'd consider to be heroes are Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morgiana. While the villains...it's complicated. The only one I could see as a villain is Il Ilah. Maybe Judar? Manga spoilers |

| I can highly recommend the manga then. The characters get a lot more depth there. Especially since the anime will probably never get a sequel and the story is definitely worth experiencing in full. |

The main goal of every anime adaption is to advertise the manga, and since the manga is already finished, there is little to no reason to continue with the anime. The mangaka Shinobu Ohtaka does not have a good relationship with the publishers (likely bc they forced her to rush the ending) 2. This anime is pretty much forgotten now, left in the shadows. Best case scenario, Magi gets some attention after Orient gets another season or when the manga ends. |
