They haven't been showing it lately. I thought they cut it because the show was in "climax" moments. But since the 7th episode was released with
, I thought I could see the opening again.

Does anyone know what really happened to it? Did they drop it?

Think the director just want more screentime instead of cutting content. It's a normal thing

It seems like they are using it for more screen time to cram more in. You can tell by the pacing its fast or even from episodes 1 and 2. from the synopsis of LN 3, we are just starting it as it seems.

But honestly speaking tho, who the hell cares about any anime's OP and ED really. Maybe some people care about it for anime like Oshi no Ko, but they definitely didn't watch them all for the whole season. They probably only watch it like 1 or 2 eps just to know what it's like and skip it afterwards.

If anything, removing the OP for more screentime is something that every anime should do, it's just better overall. They should just release the OP for the first eps and skip it afterwards.

I mostly agree, but this OP is great, it's a pretty uncommon genre for an anime OP, and it's produced by a great musician with vocals by the VA/singer with a very distinctive voice. Such a shame it was played 3 (?) times in 7 episodes.

I always watch the openings and the endings
I do agree that removing them on important episodes is good. Because you know there is going to happen someting interesting
But they already skipped the opening in 3 episodes in a row where there was only interesting things on one of them
Also the opening takes just 1 minute why they can't just put it, it's not really that long...

I do skip them sometimes too.
But when there are some that I really like, I will listen to them in every episode. And this OP is definitely one of them that I will not skip.

I have never heard this complaint before lmao. You get more if they skip the opening, why are you complaining? If you really want to see it just look on youtube.

I am one of those people who watch the openings every single episode. Even in Naruto & Shippuden. There are some exceptions, like one of the openings from og Naruto that I just can't bear listening to, but I always listen to all the openings that dont r@pe my ears, every single episode. So who the hell cares? At least me and the person who started this thread.
And it's stupid to belittle other people's opinions or preferences, because you also have something that differs from mass opinions. And if you don't you are just boring and probably have quite a sad life :D
So yeah. There are always people who like pineapple on pizza.
