| FFS Japan! There are males in MY Yuri I love Yuri because I like lesbians,,,,, Females! Rae is cute and straightforward and only because I like her I'm going to give the anime adaptation a chance. But to be honest with all those annoying males I don't believe it's going to suit my taste For now I give this trash 1/10 |

It's true that everyone has their own tastes but it bothers me a bit that you call it trash for the simple reason you mentioned and without even giving it a chance. Two of my favorites I hated at the start and gave a low score. But both of them have grown and become much better IMO it isn't a simple reason. Every season we have 1201 million heterosexual romances, harems, battle shounen, and other anime that are the anime males' playground, and the majority is all about him Then we have Yuri. We get very few of them, some years we don't get a single one. And I want them to be all about the females because that is the whole point when I watch or read a lesbian romance But I respect your opinion. And as I said if I enjoy the anime I might give this a second chance =) |

And as I said if I enjoy the anime I might give this a second chance =) Just so you are prepared while it does explore lesbians first and foremost, most other parts of the queer community are represented and expressed in the novel as well. If the anime reflects the novel accurately there will be episodes dealing with bisexuality and trans people as well. And in my opinion pretty well. Tho I don’t think (and I haven’t finished all of it yet.) it deals with gay men. Women do take the first and foremost role. But some you might think are men might not be what you think :) |
