I liked the show, but there's one thing I wish were different

I wish he would have remained big/overweight throughout the show, gradually losing weight over time.
This would have given all the other characters are chance to shine because some of them would look past his appearance and still be friends with him. Others wouldn't even give it a second thought, much like the main girl who seemed to barely notice him being overweight and even losing the weight.

I don't even mind that he was instantly OP, that could be kept in. I just wish that he didn't magically become attractive. The whole thing with everyone gasping at him like he was the most amazing thing ever got old before it started. It felt the author had a "Model Super Start Power Fantasy" or something. Him being overweight wouldn't have drastically changed the overall story. The characters see him, make assumptions, then have their expectations subverted. Then it would mean so much more if all those girls still fell in love with him because of his actions and kindness and never his looks.

Still...I can't help but feel that the show would not only be better, but it'd stand out more. Like imagine if by the end of the season, you could see some progress in his overall appearance. And by by the 3rd or 4th season he's in shape. But I guess the point was for it to be a "now I'm hot" fantasy.

if you know the author he did the same thing in his previous work fruit of evolution. with a 2/2 score it's fair to say that it's writing pattern and i can bet easy that it will appear again in his third work.

to me it was quite infuriating that Kaori wasn't a bit shocked about the fantasy world and easily believed the mc . Other than that the animation was quite refreshing and I liked it .

I can understand that. I really love isekai as well, even the "generic" ones. I definitely would have preferred him just staying in the fantasy world. Saving 80,000 Gold did a better job in that regard. The MC could go back and forth between worlds, but she spent more time in the fantasy world. But when the story in the fantasy world starts to pick up, it gets more interesting. If there's a season 2, I hope the focus is more on the fantasy world and not about him being a model and going to school, lol

I agree, but this one was more unique as it showed more of the real world. If they do make a season 2, it would probably be more fantasy world because the whole point of the real world part was the five the MC badass moments

After watching it I had the same feelings most of you described, glad to know im not alone in this. But i'm still confused about that 11th episode with the random pictures and characters still talking in the background. At first I thought they uploaded the wrong thing....With the way it went i had kinda fun with the show. But also feel sadness about what it could have been. Probably best not to ruin it more with a second season.
