Anyone else hoping this series succeeds?

I really enjoy this competitive genre (NGNL, COTE style).

It's been tried before and usually fails, it even took COTE like 7 years to get a second season because the first adaptation was done so poorly.

Has anyone else considered the possibility of this season shocking us all and becoming mainstream? I haven't read the LN, so I haven't a clue but I'm liking it so far

The success of an anime is depend most on the studio who adapted it is good or not, and the rate having a 2nd season depend on the reaction of viewers and the success of LN/Manga (in JP), so if this become a bigbang by somehow maybe there's a chance

There was enough hype for it I saw back in January it was popping off on Facebook, not sure if it’ll stay because people start really peeling away at the content.

Last year brought a ton of surprises though. Lycoris Recoil exploded in Japan, followed by Bocchi the Rock and then this year we have Oshi no Ko, so I suppose anything is possible.

What I hope is that they actually make the exposition more diegetic/natural. Interesting premise, but the pacing and dialogue feels off.

What 7 years? Not even this day is 7 years since cote first released.

Honestly, I don't see the mass appeal for liar liar. Cote has a "literally me fr fr" mc, while ngnl has quite unique animation and fresh premise back then.

I want to watch it but doesn't have a likable MC. I really wish people quit comparing it to Classroom of the Elite. I honestly didn't see anything like it at all. It was one of biggest reasons I was looking forward to it. I am planning to watch it. I hope it gets better.

It barely started as an anime and I don’t know the written material, so I have no idea

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

If it gets good. I watched the first Ep and I hate to say it but I didn't like it. Nothing really seemed interesting to me. Characters who are being introduced weren't really great, including the MC. But ik, it's only the first Ep and I'm gonna give it at least two more Eps. Obviously I can't judge the show from hust 1 Ep.The thing is, I wasn't interested in this show at all from the beginning. But I said let's give it a try anyway. Because there seem to be many hidden gems every season. So I'll still give it some more time.
