Yep 100%. I don't get the hate makes no sense. I'm actually really happy they decided to dedicate a full episode to Sylphie's story rather than doing a stupid flashback(god I hate flashbacks). Helps set the season up, keep the pacing, without having to take a break. How can anyone advise against watching this even as a troll review, everything that happens here seems to be of huge narrative importance, in fact more so than quite a few of Rudy's adventuring escapades. I liked it and I'm surprised at the bold decision to move Syplhie in such an independent direction.
| @SlyFox37 Few people remember we already saw them both standing at Eris' grandad execution in the beginning of season 2. Chances are we will see the scene from her perspective, albeit in flashback probably. Pretty nice to get this backstory to show what happened to her in the meanwhile. Still, the color change is nothing but convenient - she looks like different person now and she also get rid of her green hair which were the reason of her being outcast. The author pretty much made this plot device for her to be confused as man by Rudeus again. |
