| Chapter 30: The Destiny to Fight the Darkness! Once again, a very overly fast-paced chapter. So many new characters are getting introduced all at once that it's starting to become difficult to figure out who is on who's side. Another member of the Quartet of Evil shows up, just for ProtoMan to take them out instantly like trash. I get that they're supposed to be really powerful and ProtoMan got an insane upgrade, but this Quartet of Evil barely gets any time to introduce themselves before being smeared like punks. Makes 'em look like filler cannon fodder. It kinda feels like this volume had a lot of story to tell, but not a lot of pages to tell it. But on the bright side, the flashback to ProtoMan acquiring Muramasa was really cool. Some of the artwork looked almost Berserk level of detail, and getting introduced to Serenade was great too. Serenade never got a chance to appear in the anime, so that was particularly exciting to see. |
