Please welcome, @Kyline HoloisHolo Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself Heya~ Kyline here, previously known as Kylinity.  I'm 17 and stuck as a Filipino (like when will I get out of this country). I like anything that's cozy and calming, and of course, COMEDY. Days will be better with having comedy just to make myself positive and you know, just have fun. Oh. I like girls too hehe~ So I am a fan of girls love or so called yuri too, as you can see on the previous line. I like yuri a lot, that I basically wish I had a girlfriend of my own and do stuff with her like in those manga haha. Okay but for real, yuri is something that I seriously love and I would literally die to defend my beloved genre (I'm kidding) Of course, that means there will be things that I dislike. There are a lot of them to be fair, but I hate studying the most. Studying for something is always a pain, like my free time is heavily decreased and I don't get to have fun often. Second of which is K-Pop. Yeah, surprising. Right? I haven't heard of other girls that actually do not like k-pop so maybe I'm the first of my kind. There are so many things I hate about it, like how Korea is trying to colonize our country without ever setting foot in it, now there are these low-quality rip-offs of K-Pop of our country called P-Pop and it's so disgustingly bad. My ears deserve better than this. Just stick with OPM (original pinoy music), that itself is miles better even if it's the same shit all over again. Third, I hate melodramas. Thanks to anime, melodramas never hit me now. They always try soooooooo hard to get people cry, but it never hits me. Maybe I have a heart of steel, or maybe I am just an artificial intelligence made by a turtle model VTuber on Twitch that doesn't feel anything and sweats like a gymbag. The first and last melodrama I really cried on was Assassination Classroom and that was it. (If you haven't watched it, sorry, but to be fair it's not thaaaat melodrama-ish, only on the last few episodes of it) Q: How did you get into anime and manga? My memory is quite hazy on this one, but if I can remember one thing, I had a Naruto game on my PSP back in 2012 when I was like only 6-7. I don't remember how the mechanics works anymore, but I always had a blast playing it, so either it was VERY early on, before 2012, or during 2012. Hey, remember when the world ended in 2012? Yeah, fun times, am I right? hehehe, But for real, I think I only watched 2 anime during the old days (2012-2016), which was of course, Naruto, and One Punch Man (in 2016) before I completely abandoned anime after watching OPM. So, if I abandoned anime, then why am I here in the first place, on MyAnimeList, who joined this January 2021? Well, I had a half Japanese half Filipino friend who was into anime and drawing stuff during Grade 8, or 2018. She was basically the reason I finally found and belonged to a friend circle. We were classmates for 2 years till the pandemic hit, but I know for a fact she loves JoJo. I mean, she had doodles of Dio on my lecture notebook before lol. When the pandemic hit, I was always bored a lot, and since I only play games on my device before and its battery drains quickly, I figured, why not try watching something? So I went through channels on my TV (Yes, TV still exists here. In fact, it's still a huge thing here) and I found JoJo on one of the channels. Sadly, it was Part 5... but poor dumb 14 year old me still managed to watch Part 5... even though I am watching in the WRONG ORDER. And that's where it stands today, with JoJo making me restart my anime sessions.  Q: What are some of your favorite shows and who are your favorite characters/waifus? I do have a lot of favorite shows, if we are only talking about anime. For shows, I have some that I can mention about. There's the good ol' Gintama. King of comedy. Though, don't expect Gintama to be just all laughs, there is, of course, serious arcs that makes the Gintama experience better, but let's be honest, the comedy is just top notch here and no anime can possibly surpass that. Bocchi the Rock. Yes it may sound like recency bias, but come on, who doesn't love BTR? The reincarnation of K-On? I'm in. Sket Dance. It may be on the bottom of my favorites list, it's still god hilarious. Though made by one of the assistants of Gintama, expect some similarities between those two. Vinland Saga. One of the best writing in a show ever. I like a little action at times, but nothing else can hook me as much as Vinland. Assassination Classroom. Again, one of the ONLY shows out there that has ever made me cry a lot. It's a must try for beginners too because I watched this one with absolutely no context. Bloom Into You. One of the best romance series ever, not because it's yuri (well it's also because that it's yuri.) It handles the romance genre really well, but sadly the adaptation disrupts the series midway. Saiki K. Imagine a comedy show that fires its jokes so fast like a machine gun, that you cannot catch a single break when watching an episode. That's what Saiki K is, and I absolutely love it. GTO. GTO is a masterpiece of a classic. You like comedy too? This show has it. Though the teacher is quite a delinquent, he still teaches students in the greatest way possible. For characters lol, I just wanna uhm... say... this is gonna get quite controversial haha. Mizuhara Chizuru. Yes, you heard that right. The main girl of Rent-a-GF. She's single-handedly the hottest girl in anime history. You'd be so lucky to have a girlfriend like her who's an absolute goddess. Though you have to pay her $50 per hour... that's the big issue. KITAAAAAAAAA IKUYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~ Kita is like my favorite extrovert ever. It's obvious enough I have her as my profile girl (as of the time I am writing this) and she seems soooooo fun to be with. That sounds like my final words before I get attracted to her Kit-aura. Toshiro Hijikata. From Gintama. He's such a mayo maniac it's so funny, but at the same time when having those Shinsengumi stuff, he's cool as fuck. Then there are those who I just like for wifey reasons... like Onodera from Nisekoi, Hifumi from New Game and others... Q: How did Bocchi the Rock become one of your favorite anime? What do you like about Bocchi and do you find her relatable? I will combine these two questions because I will tackle them both in here. Funnily enough, when Bocchi released the first episode, I did not care about it. It only got on my radar when I found out that it was a *CGDCT* Music anime, and one of my friends said the series seemed promising (shoutout to you @Renkini)  (please don't mind my MAPPA banter there. FYI Bandori = BanG Dream) I kid you not, this was one of the best decisions I have ever made haha, because I somehow manage to find such a hidden gem that beautifully shined throughout the anime industry. I've always been fond of CGDCT anime ever since. The genre itself is full of fun and very relaxing most of the time. Oh, and sometimes girls become gay throughout the show. I can name a lot of CGDCTs if I can right now, but I'll just spare for that next time. There are many factors about BTR that I absolutely love about. First is the comedic factor. The series itself has really creative ways on how to convey its humor too. Next is how it handles the social anxiety topic. The series itself can, without bias, handle the social anxiety topic better than Komi-san. It really makes you feel for Bocchi and her struggles on trying to communicate with others. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are like her, unable to communicate well (but wants to) and are trying their best to beat anxiety with the help of others. I actually relate to her because I was once a person who had no friends, lonely and cooped up, until just in Grade 8. I mentioned about my half Japanese half Filipino before, and she was technically the reason how I manage to get a friend circle (fun fact: all because of memes) and I managed to beat my social anxiety lol. I can be sociable to others now thanks to my friends. Next up is the obvious, art. The art is amazing for a CGDCT series, like no joke, and this itself is the reason how it can execute comedy as well. They can pull off the art on concerts so well like you are really there first-hand, experiencing the greatness of Kessoku Band.  (well not this of course) Lastly, music. Of course, how would it be a masterpiece of a music anime without music? Kessoku Band's songs are soooo addicting, I cannot get enough of it even though I have listened to one song for over 5,000 times. Yeah. Over 5,000. It sounds crazy, because it is.  (yes. that is my actual stats.) @Corrout If you were to wake up and be any of the Bocchi the Rock characters, which one would you be and why? Oh I see now haha, I see why you called the questions you gave to me "fun". Of course, it's obvioussss, it's Futari- ah oops, uhhh I mean Kitaaaaa~ I just wanna experience the extrovert life for once, you know, because I am always cooped up at home, unable to go outside because I am a gacha gamer (totally a joke). Though, it was funny seeing those memes where some fans considered Kita to be a Filipino, because of how sociable we are to each other, which is true to be honest. I just think it was ridiculous to compare Kita and a Filipino lol. HoloisHolo What kind of music are you into in general, and do you have any favorite Anime OST's Now we're talking. I started loving music again ever since I played more rhythm games and you know what? I've become fond of genres I haven't loved yet and of course, the other genres that I haven't really discovered much yet andI am just exploring more of the genre that eventually I would enjoy. I still loooove speedcore, and listening more to it makes me love it more. Rhythm games were totally the 100% reason why I love speedcore, like it makes sessions more intense and more fun. That's like the only reason why I still love it to this day Nowadays, I've been into J-Rock and a little bit of metal too. To be fair, I am not a mainstream person now when it comes to music, unlike in 2017 who only listens to pop songs. J-Rock, my love for it starts just beause of one band, TOC (THE ORAL CIGARETTES) and honestly? They have better songs than Kyouran Hey Kids. If you are reading this right now, give the band a listen again to other songs. Personally, I recommend ReI, Mouiikai, S-LOW, LIPS, GET BACK for their songs. There are also j-rock artists that I love like [Alexandros], Frederic, ONE OK ROCK, and some more that I have yet to discover. I gotta add in j-pop too, because of course they have bangers. Name it all, YOASOBI, Ado, Sayuri, the peggies, whatever. I may be wrong on some of these but come on, just let me be lol. Just last month, I find myself enjoying a little metal. It doesn't have to be j-metal like BABYMETAL, ICDD, Undead Corp, or those stuff, but also deathcore metal (I think that's what's called). I've liked stuff from Lorna Shore, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kardashev, Alestorm, and others. You know, I'd like some recommendations for metal too, because I actually find most of them good, not that I'm emo or anything. What kind of CGDCT person would be emo lol. Of course, I have favorite anime OSTs. The obvious one is Bocchi, cause if you would know by now, I have atleast 7k plays on it according to the day I wrote this. Guitar, Loneliness, and Blue Planet is my favorite OST of all time, and I don't think nothing else can beat it. Though music anime has always been the king when it comes to insert songs. Fuwa Fuwa Time (K-On) and something like Fire Bird (BanG Dream) are also great itself. Then, we have those anime OPs and EDs too which are almost all the time really good. OPs like Great Days (JoJo Part 4), Naughty Love (Goddess Dorm), Centimeter (Rent-a-GF), Kaibutsu (Beastars) always get my head banging. It's funny how OPs can beat other music internationally in my own opinion. Then EDs, which rarely ever beat the OPs on how good it is. Hana no Tou (Lycoris Recoil), secret base (AnoHana), adrenaline!!! (Eromanga-sensei) are those kind of EDs, that I ALWAYS put the volume at max whenever I am listening to them. Those are few of those OSTs too that I like a lot. Corrout Excluding Kessoku band, if you could listen to one artist for the rest of your life, which one would it be? Oh come on, why exclude Kessoku band? Do you think I would just loop Guitar endlessly till the day I die? lol that totally sounds like me. But anyways, this is a hard question to answer. Even though I have only listened to a few artists, it's still hard to decide between all of them. If I didn't pick YOASOBI, then I will kiss my Kaibutsu goodbye. If I don't pick DECO*27, then I will kiss my Hibana goodbye. But one thing is for sure. DEFINITELY not Sick Hack (The other band in BTR) since they only have 1 song so far, and DEFINITELY not any rap artists. Rap sucks nowadays. So goodbye to Post Melons or something and to the other rappers, I won't miss you all. carrot, how do you find this question fun, seeing my suffering to decide Anyways, I've atleast come down to 5 choices, Roselia, RAS, TOC, [Alexandros], BABYMETAL. Yeah, 2 of them are in that bendry franchise lol or whatever but those 2 are the best bands no joke. As you can see, only Japanese artists. Why? I don't know! I wanna listen to songs where I don't understand what they all are saying! or something like that. Defo not [Alexandros], they peaked at Senkou so nah. Not Roselia too, but that means I would say goodbye to Neo-Aspect and Dear Gleam, two of the best songs I have heard. Babymetal could have been good too but nah, I love most of their songs, but it's a no go for me rn. TOC could have been my final choice, but their songs are not as a banger as RAS. Then I finally have an answer then RAS or Raise a Suilen. I would love to listen so much of them. So many good songs, even though with not-so-little to choose from, and I can repeat them without end. Yeah, I wouldn't mind listening to RAS for the rest of my life if I had to do it. HoloisHolo Outside of anime, what other interests do you have and like to do for fun? As I mentioned before, I like to casually play games, usually rhythm games. I found about osu around September 2020 and ever since then, I have become fond of rhythm games. Sometimes, I like to even challenge myself because in there, you will always start at the very beginning, and be quite a noob. Yeah, that was how I am till I got the hang of osu and now? Starting a new rhythm game has never been so much easier. It's a key rule that whenever you're used to a rhythm game, you will easily get the hang of the other rhythm games, no matter the controls and what. Example of me playing here, which has two mods on. Double Time, where the song and gameplay is sped up by 1.5x, and hidden where the approach circles disappear, so you have to know the actual timing of the map. The way this game works is you aim on a circle using a mouse, and press either your mouse buttons or keyboard buttons to tap or register it. In this case, keyboard buttons which is easier so that you can aim better. That was also one of the reasons how I easliy got skill on games like Phigros or BanG Dream (Yeah, the anime has a game, surprised?). You gotta keep playing more rhythm games to, well, be better at rhythm games. Then there's also gacha. Of course, I have already fell to the gacha rabbit hole, but hey, I'm not a P2W player. Thank god I only play one single gacha game, Blue Archive. Blue Archive is very generous, not in terms of Azur Lane-generous. I can save up a lot of currency in it since events usually occur every month or two or something like that. Usually, everytime I pull, it must be a limited banner. I'm a limited > everything guy. When I see limited, I immediately pull, because I don't wanna miss out on those characters that are limited, yet I am STILL salty about not getting 2 limited chars just this February... Next up is drawing. Even though I practically suck at drawing, I still draw because I find it fun. I don't care if I suck at something, as long as I find something fun, then I will stick with doing it. A year or two ago, I tried sketching and drawing some anime parts, but of course it all turned out crappy lol. However tho, I managed to draw an eye beautifully. It's still my favorite drawing to this day just because I find it really beautiful, and was really inspired by the Rent-a-GF artstyle too, so you know what? I'll do it. I'll just interpret it as like is it appropriate for me to answer that specific question. I guess so? I have many issues when it comes to men doing men, but not women doing women. I don't get the appeal for it, and I probably never will. Maybe I'm really just into girls anyway, because I find more pairs of boobs more enjoyable than more pairs of balls. LOL I DONT EVEN KNOW- @MeanMrMusician What do you plan to do after finishing school? So I am guessing this question implies my life after college then, which is like 4 years from now. Let me see... First necessity, a job. Of course, I need a job to be able to have expenses for the other stuff I am about to mention later. As long as it's a job that will give me lots of money, then I will get it, no matter how hard it may be. The first thing I would do after finding a stable job and then having a lotta money is to travel overseas. I wanna atleast explore the countries I wanna visit and of course, experience things that I didn't experience on my home country. Hell, I have never been on a beach before, or a hot spring lol, name it all, I may have never experienced those. ESPECIALLY snow. I need to see snow for real and have fun with snow all the time. Making a snowman, having a snowball fight, and stuff like that, I seriously wanna experience them all. The fact that I was born a Filipino is just too much of a pain to bear with, because all I can experience is HELL AND HELL AND HELL AND HELL AND HELL AND HE- Yeah, everything here is just wayy too hot. I am literally living in hell. Of course, I wanna visit Japan too. Every anime fan wants to. We want to experience weeb shit lol. Second thing I wanna do, well I would love to learn about animation. I've been fascinated with those stickman animations, and I HAVE tried to animate one once, and it did not look very well. It's so difficult to make the stick movements so smooth and not make it looks like they are not breaking any bones at all. Third, who wouldn't try out food from other places? I wanna eat more food that I am not familiar with, and eat more new stuff too, even though I may go overweight because of this lol. But hey, I want to atleast experience food from places that I have never been to before. Fourth, try to conquer some of my fears. It's either 5 seconds of fear or a lifetime of regret. I wanna atleast feel that I am not scared to do this kind of stuff anymore and feel great. I wanna get it off my chest that I am successful on beating them, and that I am no longer afraid of them. If you could be transported into any anime to live in forever, which would it be? Now that's a hard one lol. Definitely not anything that's isekai-based because you know what? I ain't getting any bitches. That's fine for me anyway. But if I am gonna be real, maybe something like Dr. Stone's. Yeah that means I am gonna be an ooga booga caveman but who cares honestly, I wanna see humanity evolve right where it left in front of my eyes in just a few years. That also means I have to work to get the world back together with Senku and the squad. That's fine, because I am a lazy shit and I need to have work to do you know Ani Why do you hate your own people? lmao I never said anything like this, but I'll say it, it's true I hate Filipinos lol. I have a few reason why anyway. First of which is how cringeworthy Filipinos like me can be. Most content made by these "social media influencers" which have annoying ass voice overs while spamming that laugh sound effect every single fucking second even if the content being shown isn't funny, just shows for itself. If you don't know of this, the main app of a Filipino is Facebook. Yup. Fucking Facebook. That app made for boomers. I stopped using Facebook in 2019 because I couldn't handle how horrible the content there can be, and it just gets worse every single second with it becoming another TikTok ripoff. Speaking of TikTok, that's my 2nd reason. I hate everything about TikTok. The fact that it's a norm to have that shit ass Chinese spyware app on your phone is just beyond nuts. Third of which, is how stupid we all can be. One of which is the elections last year. Yeah, we (I mean like over 30 million of us, doesn't include me because I can't vote) literally elected a son of a former dictator last year. To this day, there are no wuality changes that I have seen. So uh yeah, not to pick sides here, but we definitely elected the wrong person. I think, that's all... yeah I think I got it. @Coolest1234D  I'm not... whistles horribly @NoblesseEssentia Make a lesbian tier list Uhhh, how do I make one anyway lol...
