How does Mai have more favorites on here than Josee?

Am I the only one who finds that surprising? Mai has 1165 favorites and Josee has 1025. In those rare moments where the supporting character has more favs, it's usually a case of a supporting character being a fan-favorite/stand-out (e.g. Misuzu has more favorites than Tomo in Tomo-Chan).

But Mai doesn't have that sort of following or likability at all. She's a completely normal supporting character with nothing that stands out that much. She doesn't even have that much screentime. It doesn't help that

Does Mai actually have a cult-following that I'm unaware of?

Yh that’s absurd. I don’t have either of them in my faves but Josee is clear.

There are people who use bots to boost favorites of secondary characters, this could be one of those cases.

Don't have a fav in this Movie.
But what's the problem with 'who got more fav?'

Most of the time when I watch a Anime, I like the side characters more then the MC.
