Should I continue this?

Title. I watched episode 1 but the animation was quite meh and I read that the manga was great, I don't know if I should continue the story there.

Is it worth watching besides the animation or is it better if I jump to the manga?

I'm asking myself this very question I'm not sure if I should continue watching or read the manga. The animation is alright but it feels like it is missing something that causes it to lack in the story itself.

this anime is just missing the way it conveys the emotions of the characters in the story,this is the main problem which makes the way the story progress is boring (emotions like crying, expressing fear or showing their anger)

I also agree with the way the animation is avg

If the manga was over I’d just go read that. i think the show is cool, but ya the animation is pretty meh

I personally don't care about animation but the story is indeed great. I think you should read the manga if you are interested in the story but can't make yourself to watch the anime.

the anime is still missing the emotions that are necessary to convey the feelings of the characters. the animation is not that great. i think i wont the continuing the series after episode 4

Yes, continue! Eps 2-4 have been so far very interesting and better than the 1st.

I'm in the same boat. Just watched ep 4, and I like the story and want to know where this actually goes, but the animation and antagonists writing are not exactly the best. Mom and Pop are great characters, but the yakuza got some questionable decision making and just weird "anime bad guy" type personalities (especially Mr Glasses at the top, zero believability)

Just go read the manga. Part 1 of the manga is one of the best thriller story in recent memory.

Anime is okay but per manga reader tradition "manga is way better"

It's basically Gaslighting The Anime we didn't have for a long time (if we exclude In/Spectre). It also happens to gave an adult protagonist, so I'm gonna give it a credit just for that.
