What made this cygames adaptation flop that others didnt

Uma Musume, Priconne, Bahamut and cinderella girls animes are more successful despite this game is the bigger early IPs and they couldn't even get MAPPA of all studios to save it. Seriously how did Cygames fail one of their most successful IPs?

The first season of this was pretty decent. The art style set it apart from the others. I just think MAPPA didn’t care about this project and did a pretty average job tbh. The art style is so average comparatively to the first season. The uniqueness of it is gone. While MAPPA is doing great with big name IP’s, their smaller IP’s aren’t great.
