If i remember right, she just wouldn't want to mention her village. I don't quite remember why though. But i do remember that she was against going to her village with the KonoSuba party at first in the sequel "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson" / "Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Kurenai Densetsu"

In the manga, she says chomusuke was with her all along and everyone's just to unobservant to notice. Idk about light novel or anything else.

In the Light Novels, we can spot Chomusuke appear in illustrations of some scenes. She was there from the beginning, though the Anime simply cut her appearances out (and I can't recall if she appeared at that point in the manga). It could be said she was living in Axel as a stray cat would until Megumin brought her to the mansion.

Well, she just appeared with Chomusuke and asked Kazuma if she can keep it after they got their own mansion. No point in asking when Kazuma with Aqua lived in stables.
So she got Chomusuke at the start, then kept it with herself, then introduced it to others.
