i prefer s2.

it has a stronger focus on story while i think s1 is more focused on world building.

S1 is more thrilling to watch but S2 is not bad it's just a little slow paced.

Clover works is known for many things ruining the show like what happens to promised never land but shadows house suffers the least from this effect , yes I still prefer season 1 but season 2 is not bad

Season 1 was fenomenal! S2 isn't bad either, but the beginning have to catch your eye and keep your focus, it absolutely did for me. I am also reading the manga and it's just as good! I found the anime accidentally on Zoro while I was trying to start watching BSD for 2nd time or so, still haven't finished it😂

I definitely think season two was better because we already had all of our character introductions and so we really got to see their personalities and watch it continue to improve

S1 had alot of mystery and alot of fun binged it in one sitting while enjoyed it really hard ,2ed one is slower with so much less mystery just find tuning more of everybody’s position and the rules becoming clearer i guess? So imo s1 > s2

well, depends....

I think it's better, but purely because season 1 fucks up hard on the last few episodes.

the first 9-10 episodes of season one are easily this show at it's peak.

season 2 follows a fairly weaker arc, but unlike season 1 it doesn't really mess up, it even goes as far as fixing some of the plot holes that where made because of the ending of season 1.

but again, it does not reach the same highs.
